    Maradona hits back by saying...

New Argentinian coach Diego Maradona has re-opened an old debate by saying Geoff Hurst's controversial World Cup final goal in 1966 never crossed the line.

              - thats exactly what me and my mates discussed at the pub the other day, having maradona in charge would just be like England having Gazza

Been listening to talk sport recently and the bookies they have on (paddy power, coral) have slashed the odds from argentina being favourites to win the next world cup, don to like 5th favourites since maradona took over.

I largely agree with that although Maradonna seems to have better people around him now and as a figure head I imagine it could work (essentially a Klinsmann - Low partnership with even more emphasis on the deputy or deputies).

Also Argentina have got a surfeit of talent and established pattern of play so maybe someone with strong ideas and motivational skills is more what they need than a truly excellent coach.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Answers the original post rather succinctly.

That poisonous horrible little **** shouldnt be in charge of a prisoner's chain gang. There are few people I dislike more than him.
