Why not?
Applicable to liverpool only, a win = 3 points, draw = 2 points, lose = 1 points.
Applicable to Man Utd only, a win = 1points, draw = 0 points, lose = 0points.
Applicable to rest of the teams in EPL, a win = 2points, draw = 1 points, lose = 0points.

At least Chelsea wouldn't win it - most of their shots come from lampard and only get sent towards goal through deflections

We on the other hand could just **** the ball to Alonso waiting patiently in the centre circle to smash another 50 yard screamer 'on target'

Nay, the point of the proposal would be to change the mentality of the worser teams that 'park the bus', giving us a more attractive game. I dont think we can use this points comparison to argue against the idea since the matches have already happened using the existing points system

I think it is a bad idea, the 3 point win rule was introduced to maker a bigger difference between wins and draws to change the mentality to be more winning. Making draws worth more will just undo that.

I like the system the way it is now, it makes it worth going for the win but also gives smaller teams a good deal to play for in that draws are still a decent result.

If this is not what people want we might as well introduce extra time as in baskettball untill a winner is found, which would suck IMO.

Currently you get a good tactical game which I enjoy, and it should be keept that way. All these other "entertaintment" insentives only really helps the big teams, and will further split the league table. the table Helios made clearly shows it, with an almost 100 point gap between nr. 1 and 20.
