    Absolutely f*cked off with Capello

Rooney, Ferdinand, Cole & Lampard played today. Gerrard didn't.

If that cunt doesn't come out in the press tomorrow and lambast them then it's an agenda against Rafa and nothing to do with Gerrard.

    Absolute ****house

Gerrard wasn't the only one who got made to go and take a fitness test with England though. Maybe there isn't a conspiracy here and the other players actually have made a recovery whilst Gerrard hasn't?

I don't think Ferdinand and Rooney had to go. Fergie pulled them out and nobody bothered to even mention it

No they didn't, but then they didn't play for their team the weekend before.

No, there is an agenda against Liverpool, we are so put upon, woe is us, everybody hates us, wouldn't happen to United etc etc.

          Get with the program Reggie.

I think ND has a point, especially considering our doc is also the England under 21 physio, bit of trust and also consistency wouldn't go amiss.

              Hart injury confirmed

Manchester City have confirmed goalkeeper Joe Hart has suffered ankle ligament damage and will be out for three to four weeks.

The 21-year-old was injured in a collision with Daniel Cousin on Sunday as the Hull striker put the Tigers ahead in the 2-2 draw at the KC Stadium.

Hart, who also misses the chance to represent England in Germany on Wednesday, had a scan today which confirmed the damage as sprained ligaments in his left ankle.

              FFwd to Saturday....

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Richards, Dunne, Garrido, Wright-Phillips, Ireland, Kompany, Vassell (Elano 73), Robinho (Hamann 82), Mwaruwari (Sturridge 88).

              Ref: Alan Wiley (Staffordshire).

Lampard had a rib injury. I *think* he was the only one apart from Gerrard who was mandated to pitch up and get tested. Bargain bucket eating [censored].

Rio and Rooney did miss the previous match. Against Stoke. At home.

Just cos we're paranoid, doesn't mean that they're not out to get us.

Least Capello came out and defended Gerrard when ITV were trying to say he wasnt injured....Q: 'Is it not galling to lose a player who played 90 mins for their club at the weekend and is now injurd like Gerrard? Answer from Capello 'No, no he IS injured, we had him checked out'

What irritated me is that ITV chose to centre on Gerrard's withdrawal when it was confirmed he WAS injured and ignored the withdrawal of Ferdinand, Rooney etc. Fergie blatantly gave them an extended rest to get round the rules ie if they dont play in the match prior to the int game then they dont need to have their injury confirmed.

So, of the players withdrawn from the England squad through injury, here's the ones who played for their club less than 72 hours later:

Joe Hart (out for 4 weeks, confirmed a few days before match)
Wayne Rooney (chest, more like rest against Stoke...didnt have to prove injury)
Rio Ferdinand (wrist, calf ...**** knows)
Frank Lampard (only other player who had to prove fitness, rib problem so prob could have played against Germany if arsed)
Ashley Cole (out for a couple of weeks prior to Germany game...ankle i think)
Joe Cole (same as above really)

Actually injured and didnt play for club at weekend:

                Gerrard

I prefer it when you lurk

Do people really believe though that Capello has an agenda against, and thus does things differently because it's Liverpool?

I agree that the media were tossers about the whole thing BTW, I just don't really see what Capello did wrong.

To be fair my man, I don't know enough about what the Don did do or didn't do but there should be a reckoning. We played it by the book, I'd hope that anyone and everyone who pulls out next time has to go and get checked out. I think that's reasonable.

It would be if playing for your country was mandatory. Okay so a player and his club might have slightly different agendas but no one is obliged to represent their country.

In a way although I think they're generally pretty spineless, I don't blame the FA for being suspicious: pointless friendly, Liverpool doing well in the league, Gerrard fed up of once again being played in unfamiliar positions etc...

Not a chance. He was scanned by England's doctors and even they admitted he was injured. I doubt Rafa would have rested him just so he wouldn't get in trouble with the press.
