    Fabregas - New Arsenal Captain

Does anyone else see echos of Torres in Madrid with Fabregas at Arsenal? They were/are the main star of the team, both are young...it will be interesting to see what happens.

Hopefully Arsenal will have as much success, Atletico didn't win a trophy whilst torres was there, did he?

So the discussion of one of our main rivals, and comparing what happened with Torres with how things could unfold at Arsenal are of no interest?

It's of no interest in the Liverpool section

I don't really see the echoes to be honest as echoes are generally heard and not seen. And this really has a great deal to do with LFC.

They'll need to find a new captain at the end of the season.

I thought Toure should have got it, he just seems to have the bite about him that the past few captains (since Viera) havent had.

I think the fact he has been playing so poorly counted against him.

There are reports of him going to City in January and he didnt deny them

"I am injured and need to get back to fitness," he told skysports.com.

"I have nothing to say about the transfer link, time will tell."

I don't recall Fabregas being a boyhood Gooner, although you could argue that Wenger snatched him from his cradle.
