Carra spoke quite highly of Ince the other week

It's a shame. He was willing to buy Pennant off us.

Think we should go and buy Warnock back

Were you impressed by the way Benayoun skipped past him for the second goal the other day?
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

No not particularly, but I think Warnock is a good player and shouldn't have been sold. Personally think he's a lot better than Dossena

OK, fair enough, although I entirely disagree.

But there are better players than Warnock, not exactly our first choice signing at LB.

For me Warnock is a good left-back. Yeah he has the odd mistake here and there, but he's been a plus for Blackburn since he's been there.

Solid player all in all for me and was disappointed we sold him

Auerlio, Warnock and Insua would be good for the left-back berth

If they reappoint Souness they're heading straight to the Championship.

I'm with Slim. I think Souness would be a Megson like appointment for them. It would show a lack of ambition to do more than just stay up but it would probably do that for them. They have a decent enough squad to battle it out with those that are down their and Souness has been in that situation before.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Possibly. Souness has always been more miss than hit though. Also the squad he will inherit is considerably weaker than what he previously had at the club. Add in the mysterious fact that teams managed by Souness always seem to endure injury crises soon after his arrival (something I have heard put down to his training methods) and a probable lack of funds in January then the future looks bleak for Blackburn.

I honestly believe Souness will take them down. I don't like Allardyce but he'd be a much more progressive appointment as he is someone who can get the best out of limited resources and would also be a better long term bet.

I think either of them would likely keep them up.

To be honest I don't think that the future looks that bright whoever (looking at realistic options) takes over, they have to hope to avoid relegation and that the club gets sold to someone with a plan at the end of the season. I'd agree that Alladyce would be a better appointment but could Blackburn afford his huge backroom staff and would he even want the job?

I thought the injury crisis tended to shape up over time - I agree though that his old school training methods don't seem a long term bet. I just think that given limited resources he would make them a team who would fight and that it might be enough as they do have some decent players as a lot of fighters in the squad. I don't think a manager like Curbishley for example would have much to work with give his style of play.
