    Match of the year 2008

We have done over rated player and most impressive player but now cast your minds to this past year to the best match you have watched either it was a Liverpool game or some game deep in the Amazonian forest.

Mine, sorry Dhav, Turkey vs Czech Republic. No real skill involved but what a fightback.

    That was some game. Semih!!!

I would say the best game I have seen has to be yesterdays 5-1 mauling of Newcastle.

match of the year for me was not a football match but a hurling match.

most of the irish lads will agree with me on this one.

kilkenny beat waterford 3-30 to 1-13 in the all ireland final. kilkenny scored 33 times from 36 attempts. unreal display of talent desire and commitment

either the holland - france game from euro 2008 or liverpool - arsenal 2nd leg of champs league. holland - france game was just a great spectacle for football ( plus i despise the french arrogance on the footy field ) but liverpool - arsenal was so passionate and what an ending ( plus again i hate the french arrogant *******s )

                Would pick the same game.

The best game not including Liverpool would be Barcelona vs Atletico. Barca played the best football I have ever seen the first half.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Probably the best game for a rollcoaster of emotion, and was made sweeter that there was two gonners in Liverpool end, right behind me.

Also coming back against the mancs was superb.

                    Holland 1 - 3 Russia

                    Euro 2008 Quarter final.

Holland had looked like one of the favourites.

The Russians were a youthful, inexperienced side who'd only qualified for the Euros by virtue of England and their woeful manager McLaren.

                    Oh how wrong we were.

Arshavin and Pavlyuchenko the architects of this famous Russian victory.

Trying to think of non-lfc games, I think I'd tend to agree with Ben, not for quality football but for just one totally mad finish, Turkey vs Czech Republic in the Euros is hard to beat.

Therefore I lied to please the mob.

The whole of 2008 is tough - I'll agree with the Arsenal CL game and for a Prem game I'll go with Arsenal again with their 4-4 against Spurs.

The worst of the 4-4s recently in the league. Spurs 4-4 Chelsea was substantially better.

That was my game of the year aswell.

Absolutely sensational match that had everything.

The best non LFC match of the year I saw was the Spurs - Chelsea 4-4 draw which was fabulous entertainment.
