How do the mancs have £16m, plus the £35m needed to keep Tevez?
Has this gone through then - there seem to have been a lot of rumours of the deal falling through of late.
I'd be suspicious of the prices quoted - they will undoubtedly be performance related. The guardian podcast have maintained that United 'only' need to pay ~£20m for Tevez as the £35m includes money already paid and performance related payments. Also given that we have outspent United using headline fees of late and they are a much more profitable operation they are likely to have a fair bit of cash to spend.

United snap up Serbian duo Tosic and Ljajic
• Partizan Belgrade pair signed for an undisclosed fee
• Tosic rated as one of best young wide players in Europe
Manchester United have completed the signings of the Serbian duo Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic from Partizan Belgrade for an undisclosed fee. The reigning English and European champions announced a couple of months ago they had reached agreement with Partizan for the two players, since when they have been attempting to agree personal terms.
At one point it was suggested talks had collapsed as the various parties could not reach a satisfactory conclusion but any outstanding issues have now been resolved, leaving Tosic free to join the Old Trafford outfit next week with Ljajic staying in Belgrade for the remainder of the season.
Despite being just 21, Tosic has already made 12 appearances for Serbia and is regarded as one of the best young wide players in Europe.
In theory, his arrival could be bad news for Nani, who has struggled to make anything like the same impact as fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo, having left Sporting Lisbon for United 18 months ago. However, with Ryan Giggs now 35 and set to figure even less over the next 18 months, Sir Alex Ferguson may decide to persevere with Nani, giving Tosic time to get used to his new surroundings.
At just 17, Ferguson feels Ljajic will benefit from the stability of remaining with Partizan, knowing his first-team opportunities at United would be almost non-existent this season. Ljajic has already made his presence felt at Under-21 level for Serbia and most observers believe it is only a matter of time before he gains full international honours.
It has been suggested United could end up paying around £17m for the duo, who will link up with Nemanja Vidic at Old Trafford, although that figure is likely to be based heavily on future success and the club have refused to comment on the size of an initial payment.

I must admit the first I heard of him was when United were linked with him last month.
Hopefully he'll be another Nani - a headless chicken with fancy flicks and pace is still a headless chicken just a better class of one. If Kevin Kilbane is a battery headless chicken then Nani is a free range one.
Do people remember how the news that MU had signed Nani & Anderson a while back? Some on this sight were almost suicidal at the thought of MU signing "the two brightest young talents in Europe". What a waste of £50M that was.(Along with crock Hargreaves)
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.
So much for Fergie saying that they wouldn't be signing anyone in January...
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Tried to sign them both for QPR in FM09, didn't get either of them
Even then, there's no way they've paid £50m for that trio.
17million for carrick
15million for Nani
18 million for Anderson.
those were the figures being 'reported' at the time alll 3 were undisclosed but those were the prices most people were talking about although i am sure the 2 youngsters will have a few clauses in there contract.
