Whiskey Nose accuses Premier League over fixtures

Whinging fecking tw*t - how I despise this son of a bitch

Sir Alex Ferguson launched an astonishing attack yesterday on the way that the Barclays Premier League fixtures are drawn up and openly questioned whether the system was designed to handicap Manchester United.

Ferguson is so aggrieved by what he perceives as prejudice against United that he intends to send a club official to oversee the process in the summer. He says that this may be the only way that he can guarantee the veracity of the 2009-10 league programme. The United manager is concerned that, during the first half of this campaign, his side have had to play away from home against nine of the ten teams who finished directly below them in the league last season, and that the club's three European away games this term were followed by matches away from home in the league.

José Mourinho, the former Chelsea manager, and Rafael Benítez, the Liverpool manager, have questioned the fixture list in the past, although Ferguson, whose team are seven points adrift of Liverpool, the league leaders, albeit with two games in hand, has taken his objections a step farther.

“I've been saying this for a few months, but our fixture programme didn't do us any favours and I think we have been handicapped by the Premier League,” Ferguson, whose team face Southampton in the FA Cup third round at St Mary's Stadium tomorrow, said. “They tell me it's not planned - bloody hell!” Asked if he seriously thought that the Premier League wanted to put United at a disadvantage, the United manager said: “I've got my doubts. I'm not saying what they do down there, but next year we'll be sending somebody to see how it happens, I can assure you. I just don't understand how you can get the fixtures like that.”

Despite Ferguson's complaints, United did not raise any objections about their fixture scheduling with the Premier League when they had the chance last summer. Although not part of the Fixtures Working Party that oversaw this season's fixture list, Ken Ramsden, the United secretary, has since joined the group.

A statement from the Premier League dismissed Ferguson's claims. It said: “The Premier League fixtures are put together through as random a process as possible. The initial list is created by specialist software before going to the Fixtures Working Party, which is made up of representatives from the Premier League, Football League, FA, clubs and supporters. The police also approve it before it is sent to the clubs, at which point they can raise any objections they may have.

“There are various factors that go into the structuring of the fixture list - police requests, club requests, involvement in European or Fifa competitions for example - but the overriding factor is the luck of the draw.”

As revealed by The Times yesterday, United have completed the signing of Zoran Tosic, and Adem Ljajic, two young Serbian players, from Partizan Belgrade in a combined £16.3 million deal. Ferguson expects Tosic, 21, a left winger, to play some part for United this season but Ljajic, 17, who operates on the right of midfield, will not join the club for another 12 months. The arrival of the two players will not affect the futures of Nani or Park Ji Sung, with Ferguson insisting that the South Korean will be given a new contract.

Ferguson also expects to start talks about a new deal with Gary Neville, the 33-year-old captain, in the coming weeks, but suggested that any move to sign Carlos Tévez, the Argentina striker, on a permanent basis could be made nearer the end of the season.

The manager has also told Cristiano Ronaldo that he must accept the rough treatment he receives at the hands of opposition players after the Portugal winger showed signs of frustration in recent weeks. “Because it is Ronaldo, these things are magnified, but that's the penalty for being a great player,” Ferguson said. "He has to understand that."

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Such a vile **** of a man. Always complaining about something, always accusing the authorities. He does it at least once a season. If this isnt bringing the game into disrepute, i dont know what is.

The fixture list actually helps them a lot. It would have been much more difficult for them if they had to play all the top clubs away after the World Club Championships.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Strange that Demento didn't complain that Ronaldo should have been sent off in the last two games and Rooney should been sent off once.

              Or maybe not......

There is a reason to why he is called Demento.

It's all just become so monotonous nowadays, we've seen it from him so many times before that it just becomes annoying, it always was disrespectful & self centred but while it had novelty quality i didn't mind so much, i used to enjoy seeing the **** moaning about decisions, not now though, i'm fed up to back teeth of seeing his moaning whinging face.

Ps. What's happened to the 'Photo Shop' marvels you used to dig up Af.

You just have to get used to it.

This is his way of winding up opposing teams, and deflecting the pressure from his own team. He has done similar things for years to create a siege mentality throughout his team.

Its up to his rivals (managers, players & fans) to not get wound up by his comments. King Kenny, Wenger & Mouriniho were brilliant at this, Keegan wasn't!

Oh i know this, it's just been so long...so damn long that he's been at it, it's very much old hat to me now is what i mean i suppose.

Plus, it would be nice to finally see how the Scum do without him.

I dont see why people should just get used to it.

If other managers called into question the integrity of the Premier League, would it just get shrugged off?

How many times does this senile old cunt get away with it?

He accused UEFA of rigging the CL draw all those years ago, did anything happen to him? Bollocks it did.

He's always bringing the game into disrepute, yet rather than being punished, he's lauded up as some ****ing gentleman legend.

Surely the Premier League just have to tell him where to go, if they allow the scum to have someone there to over see the procedure, they have to allow every club to do the same (although there are very few I can think of with the arrogance to suggest it) Can you imagine an official from each club checking everything out the process would take ages.

Also surely openly accusing the Premier League of anti-scum bias amounts to bringing the game into disripute, but no doubt nothing will happen about it
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This time last year, this forum was full of people saying the same about our own fixture list, particularly with regard to the amount of away games played after CL matches.

                              Short memories indeed.

Anyway, who cares really, Ferguson just makes himself look like a very bitter old man, which is what he is.
                              Oh I don't know.
