    The Respect Campaign

Never mind what Rafa has touched on about Fergiescum, what pisses me off the MOST is that Wayne Rooney gets to swear constantly at refs for 90 mins & nothing happens to him. If it was ANY other player from ANY other team (eg. Mascher) there would be serious consequences.
    Same rules for everyone eh?
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has continued his tirade against Manchester United by questioning David Gill's dual role as United chief executive and a key player at the Football Association. (Various)

This would help explain why the rules for the Scum are different to the rules for the rest of the League...

Totally agree about Rooney. It really is amazing how he just abuses the officials at will and is never ever pulled up on it.
Also, the amount of times the Scum players surrounded the ref yesterday was a disgrace - every little decision and 2 or 3 players ran to the ref to remonstrate.

Shows what a success this 'Respect' campaign has been.

To be fair Rooney's protection isn't that different to many other top England players for example Shearer have received in the past. It has long been a blight on the domestic game that certain players for FA political reasons have been beyond censure and combined with the usual short sighted media obsessed bufoonery of the national game's administators makes the Respect campaign largely a joke.

The only thing it has had a reasonable effect on is that huddles of players around the referee are now largely a thing of the past.

Seeing as it was the Ashley Cole ****tery that started the campaign very little seems to have been done about individual players acting like arseholes to the referee when being booked etc.

i have said it in the past he should never ever finish a single game. take yesterday - abused the linesman - first yellow. then when he actually got booked that should have been him off.

****in really bugs me this one

And he should have got a straight red for that ridiculous corner flag kissing.

How he as a Scouser can kiss the badge of a club where it's supporters hate & riducule Scousers just proves what a stupid prick he is anyway!

It wa a joke yesterday, high profile game and Rooney is blatently telling the reeree to **** off, he should have been booked for that - weak refereeing that and a great example for the kids
