    Finnan to Hull?

Finnan's move to Hull falls through after medical reveals thigh injury

Steve Finnan's £1million move to Hull City fell through last night after a medical revealed a deep-seated problem with his left thigh.

He suffered the injury in November and has struggled to figure for Espanyol since. The former Liverpool right back, 32, has also seen moves to Tottenham and Blackburn on loan dashed because the Spanish club were demanding a fee.

It is another blow to Hull manager Phil Brown’s bid to recruit experienced players.
Midfielder George Boateng suffered medial knee ligament damage in the FA Cup win at Newcastle and could be out for three months.

A £2.5m bid for Sunderland midfielder Dean Whitehead was rejected and West Ham’s Luis Boa Morte turned down a move after a £1.5m fee was agreed.

Boa Morte, 31, said: ‘I have a contract for 18 months with West Ham which I want to see out. I do not expect to leave because I have not asked for anything from anyone.’

Brown has managed to sign Kevin Kilbane, 31, from Wigan for £400,000.

an unsung hero for us over the years a good reliable footballer who just got on with things.
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

He was excellent but looked past it in his last season for us. I hope that he does well for Hull (assuming the latter report is more up to date).

Fallen through again according to Sky

A good servant to us, very underated, and I hope he does well wherever he goes next.

Yes, a 'Deepseated' problem with his thigh i think it said, good timing on our part if true.

Hope he finds a good club though.
