Thanjk you.

Palacios is a good player but not what I would have thought Spurs need. Looks like Harry is continuing the ancient Spurs tradition of trying to fix imaginary problems and ignoring the blatant frailties in the team.

Palacios is exactly the type of midfielder Spurs need IMO. He will give them a far stronger spine and will provide excellent cover for the defense as well as provide a genuine attacking threat. Good signing, even at 14m IMO.

I like him going forward but he seems all work and no intelligence defensively - I think they need to bring in someone to add some intelligence to the work of the likes of Huddlestone.

Not sure about the genuine attacking threat loops, hes got a total of 0 goals and 1 assist in the Premiership this season having started virtually every game.
I do agree he's roughly the type of player they need though, albeit massively overpaying.

He wins so much possession high up the field when I have seen him and in that sense he starts many attacks - I think thats what I meant.

My Spurs mate asked me what he was like, I said hes like Sissoko with a bit more skill, is that a fair assessment?
I've only seen him play a handful of times. Still cant believe the price they are paying for him.
I have been very impressed every time I have seen him play, albeit that is only a handful of games. Having said that, I prefer Valencia - he could definitely do a good job for us.
14 million is a lot of money, but then Spurs paid 16 million for Darren Bent didn't they? So, bargain!!!

In fairness to Steve Bruce as big and fat as his head is............he's going to make some good profit from Palacios and Valencia. Be interesting to see if he can dig up suitable replacements.
