if we had beat stoke, west ham and fulham at home we would still be six points clear so the games in hand were not a problem.Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostTo be fair it was an 8 point lead with 2 matches in hand. Still credit to ManU, they had to win their matches in hand and they did.

No its not.Since we've still to play them,if we win all our games we win the league.SimpleOriginally posted by magicalbarnes View PostEven if we do win on Monday, the title is in ManU's hands.
Too many draws against lesser teams.
Both teams will drop points between now and the end.Its still very much all to play for

Man Utd are top of the league because they're an excellent defensive side, not because they're so much better than us going forward and scoring goals. This is not mind games, these are FACHTS.
Just look at these results.
Aston Villa vs. Man Utd 0-0
Man City vs. Man Utd 0-1
Man Utd vs. Sunderland 1-0 (90th)
Tottenham vs. Man Utd 0-0
Stoke vs. Man Utd 0-1 (83rd)
Man Utd vs. Boro 1-0
Man Utd vs. Chelsea 3-0
Man Utd vs. Wigan 1-0
Bolton vs. Man Utd 0-1 (90th)

I knew what was going to happen months ago but did not post anything as i could not be bothered with the **** it would start. I am gutted It is not because united are top but because we have let them go top by not beating **** teams at Anfield of all places.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI didnt want it to get to this stage before people finally saw the light, but unfortunately for some, they wont see it until it's happened or til it's too late.
I hope this is a wake up call to rafa tonight to stop ****ing about and play his strongest 11 in every league game from now on. A part of me is hoping we get knocked out of the CL so that is not in rafa's mind.

It is in their hands. If the match was at Anfield we would say its in our hands. Because its at Old Trafford they will believe its in their hands. Plus a draw will suit them against us, realistically we have to win the game.Originally posted by PoolG View PostNo its not.Since we've still to play them,if we win all our games we win the league.Simple

Jesus there are some real drama queens on here today, they never said it was easy to win the league but win on Monday we go top, and it is only January a lot can change between now and May

Ok that should be an extra 6 points but we shouldnt have beat Middlesbrough and Man City so take 6 points off....Originally posted by liverpooltj View Postif we had beat stoke, west ham and fulham at home we would still be six points clear so the games in hand were not a problem.
1 point behind is hardly a crisis.

Um afraid its gone now mate. With the scum hitting the top, I dont expect us to pick up points against the bitters...sorry, but we've blown it..to many drawn games.....poxy ****ersOriginally posted by Slinky Skills View Post**** me I feel totally distraught I really do. I feel as though I've lost a family member.
I can't believe it. We can't afford to drop anymore points between now and the end of the season. If we do, that's it. The league is over for us.
Gutted.

And we well capable of winning that game.Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostIt is in their hands. If the match was at Anfield we would say its in our hands. If we both win all our other games then its in the hands of whoever wins that game so its 50-50 as to who's in the driving seat right now but it means **** all to be honest cos like I said neither team is going to win all their other games so nobody has it in their own hands. Its there to be won or lost by anybody
Today proves what a tough ask we have though cos they are masters of pulling late winners out of nowhere.

Exactly. The fact that Mancs are only a point above us shows that they have been just as poor so far this season. And whilst a string of one nils show a strong defence, it does show a poor attack.Originally posted by liverpool View PostOk that should be an extra 6 points but we shouldnt have beat Middlesbrough and Man City so take 6 points off....

It seems that with Ronaldo of form they have nothing else to offer. They won the league last year down to him, if he doesn't re discover his form I think we will win it.
It boils down to three players really. Will Keane or Berbatov finish the season strongly? Will the usual Rooney and Gerrard keep up the form? And which of Torres and Ronaldo will get back to their best the soonest?
If all three go in favour of the Mancs they will win the league. If all three go in our favour we will.Forwards.......

I'm not concerned with the game at Old Trafford. We will batter them. I'm more concerned with our games against inferior sides.Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostIt is in their hands. Bit confident! Against Stoke we were not at the races. I think with the difficult teams at home and the easier teams away will prove a better combination in the second half of the season. I see only one difficult away game in the Mancs. The rest are all winable. At home we are a match for anyone.
A win against Everton is crucial.Forwards.......
