No surprises there, after they were bailed out by the US government they can't go spending, what is now public money, on sponsorship deals

Apparently their new sponsor will be Sahara - the Indian company who also sponsor the Indian cricket team.

no doubt there will be a plethora of top corporate sponsers ready to spend big money to replace AIG.

Just makes me quite sad to think we are still sponsored by Carlsberg and that we rushed into signing a new deal with them before we won the CL. The sponsorship will never become widespread as so many countries/leagues have a ban on alcohol advertising.

The exposure they have got in various parts of the world with sponorship is quite remarkable.

Vodafone - Europe & Majority of the World
                  AIG - America
                  if true Sahara - India

They have last effects in the global marketing scheme of things.

Where as where stuck with Carlsberg - Probably

Yes i tend to agree, sponsors will likely be lining up even in todays climate, i'd like to think they would lose out on the deal, a new sponsor maybe not being willing to pay as much now, but i doubt it.

Carlsberg have been an ok sponsor imo, but by **** they've had us too cheap for far too long., we're Liverpool FC ffs.
