    Transfer Watch

Can we please use this thread from now on for non-Liverpool related transfer updates rather than having a thread for each. Thanking you.

Good shout. If someone can post a list of all the main January transfers, in the PL, La Liga, Serie A and others, it'd also help my arduous task of updating my PES edit file.

Blackburn have completed the signing of much-travelled Senegal striker El Hadji Diouf for an undisclosed fee.

The deal reunites the 28-year-old forward with Sam Allardyce, his former manager at Bolton Wanderers.

But he will not be allowed to make his debut away at Middlesbrough on Saturday as the deal was not finalised before the noon deadline ahead of the match.

Meanwhile, Sunderland defender Danny Collins has agreed a new two-and-a-half year contract at the Stadium of Light.

Diouf began his career at Sochaux and also played for Stade Rennes and Lens before spending three years at Liverpool until 2005.

His arrival coincides with the departure of Matt Derbyshire to Olympiakos on loan until the end of the season.

Allardyce is excited by the prospect of linking up with again with the striker, who has only been with Sunderland since last July, having been signed by then manager Roy Keane for £2.5m.

Have your say on this transfer
"He can play a few positions, down the right, down the left, as well as along the front," said Allardyce.

"I'm hoping he can come and give me the kind of performances he gave at Bolton.

"In the time I spent with him we always finished in the top half of the Premier League, no lower than eighth, and we played in Europe.

"Hopefully he can bring his ability, his trickery to Ewood Park, and delight some of the Blackburn fans.

"If he goes and plays to his best then they will soon take to him because he is talented.

"He is a talented player. He can be a little wayward, as everybody knows, but hopefully I'll be able to control him as much as I did when I was at Bolton.

"I just have to make sure he's ready and available, and he produces the best he can, because his best is very good - and normally it doesn't come this cheap."

When people post a transfer, can they confirm if it's just a rumour, whether it's in the process of happening, or whether it's signed, sealed and delivered.

After all, if i put Matt Derbyshire at Olympiacos in my PES game, it'll give an unfair advantage to whoever's lucky enough to be Olympiacos, if he hasnt ACTUALLY signed.

                      Yer see?

Is it not possible for someone to be both?
