arshavin travels to london just in case arsenal agree fee before 5pm GMT deadline tomorrow. why are arsenal holding out on paying for this guy. he's a decent player who in todays market is well worth 15million. it's not like they're skint. they have two majority shareholders who are both inside the top 10 rich list of team owners in britain.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I think they fancy that Dutch kid they've got, Tim Krul, to develop.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postdefo hard for them to replace given. i know what you mean bout harper sticking to his line too often. but he's prob gonna be the best option for them given that the market for good, available goalkeepers is dry at the moment. just a thought but joe hart from citeh would be a good move for them. should have tried for a swap deal.
He was ok today, but having watched the game I stand by my observation, I saw several balls played through were I thought his starting position was far too deep and he was generally reticent to come out confidently.Originally posted by Liverpool View PostToday he made a good clearance with a 1 on 1 today, How much did Given go for?
Not sure, thought it was going to be around the £7m markI could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

He thought that too, allegedly:Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostFaubert to Madrid??

Bizzare move.
Julien Faubert thought he was the victim of a wind-up when Real Madrid first moved to sign him last week. The West Ham midfielder, who has moved to the Spanish club on loan until the end of the season, said: "I got a call from a Madrid agent but I didn't really take it seriously. I thought he was winding me up. Then a few minutes later my agent called me to tell me it wasn't a joke."

Skysports.com understands Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Inter Milan winger Ricardo Quaresma on loan.
Quaresma has endured a difficult time at Inter since joining the Serie A champions last summer in a big-money deal from Porto.
He has struggled to win over the Inter fans and was jeered by home supporters when appearing as a substitute in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Torino.
The Portugal international has also been left out of Inter coach Jose Mourinho's squad for the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League.
With the transfer deadline approaching, it is now understood that Quaresma will spend the rest of the season at White Hart Lane.
Sky Sports News revealed on Sunday night that Spurs are hoping to bring in two loan players before the window shuts at 5pm on Monday.
A deal for Quaresma could also fuel speculation regarding the future of Aaron Lennon amid reports Liverpool want the winger included in any deal which would see Robbie Keane rejoin Spurs.

All the lads in my office are spending the entire day texting in made up rumours into the BBC. Just made it on there myself
(well sort of) with this beauty:
"Robbie Keane has had a Partridge style meltdown. Just spotted him in the queue at B&Q in Aintree buying some tungsten tips screws. He looked a bit unhinged to me."
And then on the BBC:
0952: Where is Robbie Keane? Where isn't he more like. He seems to have been spotted everywhere. On the hard shoulder of the M6, building snowmen, in the queue at a DIY shop, in London, at the airport.... He is clearly having one very busy morning
Fame, glorious fame!!!

From ESPN
10.39: Robbie Keane is making his way through the snow to London to undergo a medical after Tottenham agreed a £15m fee with Liverpool for the striker. The Daily Mail also claim the Republic of Ireland international must agree personal terms to complete his return to White Hart Lane.
10.29: Bolton Wanderers will spend the cash generated by Kevin Nolan's sale to Newcastle United to buy Lyon striker Fred for £4.5m, according to Le Parisien. The Brazilian forward has been trying to leave for a couple of months and after Tottenham pulled out of deal last week it looked like he would have to stay in France.
10.15: Manchester United youngster James Chester has joined Peterborough on a month's loan. The centre-back played in the Carling Cup semi-final last month and it seems that Sir Alex Ferguson is eager for his starlet to get some first team experience at his son's club.
10.00: El Mundo Deportivo report that Real Madrid have agreed to give Javier Saviola a free transfer to allow him to move to his preferred destination at the end of the season and the Daily Mail says that destination is Liverpool. The Reds are negotiating a loan deal until the end of the current campaign with a view to a permanent switch.
9.50: Zenit St Petersburg playmaker Andrei Arshavin is heading back to the airport after Arsenal failed to agree a £15m deal. But Arshavin will have a tough job leaving the UK as most of London's terminals are closed because of the weather.
9.43 Tottenham Hotspur are proving very popular in the transfer rumour mill but Reading have confirmed that there have been no firm bids for Spurs target Stephen Hunt, despite a £5million release clause in his contract.
9.30 Sunderland have agreed a loan deal for Manchester City defender Tal Ben-Haim. The 26-year-old Israeli international passed his medical on Sunday and will stay at the Stadium of Light for the remainder of the season.
9.20 Wigan Athletic are negotiating a swap deal for Newcastle United's want-away winger Charles N'Zogbia that would see Ryan Taylor going the other way. Latics defender Titus Bramble is keen to see the deal for his former colleague go through. "I played with Charles for a couple of years at Newcastle and if the deal goes through, he'll be a fantastic signing for us," he said.
9.10 Apparently Russian playmaker Andrei Arshavin is staying in Hertfordshire hotel less than 15 minutes away from Arsenal's London Colney training ground, fueling speculation he is closing in on a move to the Gunners. Zenit St Petersburg were holding out for a £15m fee and it looks like they may have got it.
9.00: Fulham are closing in on a loan deal for Roma midfielder Olivier Dacourt. The French midfielder was in London for a medical on Sunday and the 34-year-old is expected to sign on Monday. Manager Roy Hodgson has also held talks over the return on loan of former striker Brian McBride from Chicago Fire.
8.45: Jose Mourinho's decison to axe Golden Bin winner Ricardo Quaresma from Inter Milan's Chmapions League squad has lead to speculation that he is on his way to Tottenham Hotspur. While Mourinho said "I do not have space for him", it seems Harry Redknapp may have said: "I do".
8.20: Aston Villa are preparing a £7million swoop for Manchester City defender Micah Richards, according to the Daily Star. Manager Martin O'Neill was going to wait until the end of the season but the knee injury to Danish centre-back Martin Laursen has forced an early bid for City's 20-year-old.
8.05: Hull City look set to miss out on signing Italian World Cup winner Christian Panucci after his agent revealed the defender would remain with Roma. “I really think Christian will remain at Roma and respect his contract,” Oscar Damiani said.
8.00: Shay Given became Manchester City's fourth new signing of the transfer window on Sunday and now the Eastlands club are looking to offload Brazilian misfit Jo to Everton. The £24million striker needs first team football and the Toffees have no fit strikers at the present time.
7.50: All eyes will be on White Hart Lane amid rumours that £20million Liverpool striker Robbie Keane will be rejoining Tottenham Hotspur. The Republic of Ireland striker didn't even make the bench for Sunday's top of the table clash with Chelsea and could become part of a swap deal, with Aaron Lennon going the other way.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
