Rightly so. Although the swines (the FA) should have banned Bo-swinger instead.

I suppose two wrongs don't make a right but I can't help feeling that a bit of injustice has occurred.

i have thought long and hard about both sides of the arguement and i think i have narrowed it down to two words

        fat *******
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Damn right, I'm not bothered he's got off with it, we got the three pints and that's the main thing. At least he'll be able to continue blasting shots high over the bar in the next three games now

I have to say I still think there is a case for it being a red. That said I would have given a yellow.

The appeals system has to be looked at sceptically though in the light of the Boswinga case from the weekend and the Terry rugby tackle that was rescinded. Currently it seems the worst of both worlds undermining the referee who was at the game in the later case and judged to the best of his ability a case which it is very arguable even on video should have been a red and then refusing to look at a blatant error by the linesman which just makes everyone look like morons. If the linesman saw it then he should have done something, at the very least he should be asked to justify his decision.

Well if the choice is them or the FA video appeals panel the answer, sadly, is probably yes.

"Jose Bosingwa will not face any action for stamping on the back of Yossi Benayoun in the same match.

The Portuguese was not punished at the time and because the assistant referee admitted seeing it, the Football Association cannot review the incident. "

                    Cocks.

The decision was made easier when Mike Riley admitted he got it wrong.

The assistant you be stripped of his position too because he clearly is not up to the job.

But then why can't the lino say that he got the Boswinga call wrong? It is inconsistent and daft.

If the linesman admits to seeing it, his failure to point it out to the ref is serious misconduct, within the confines of his job.

Is he going to be punished?

Im pretty sure the linesman was flagging like mad but the ref decided to ignore him, pretty certain that was the case. Think they are shielding him from admitting he made two stupid errors in one game!
