    Henry?

Barca are reportedly ready to offload Henry in order to raise the necessary finances to purchase Ribery.

    £12M apparently.

    Worth a punt for backup?

    Backup?

I think he might just force his way into the first team.

I've never liked him, but at the very moment I think I'd drive him personally from Barcelona to Liverpool.

Correct. Would be fantastic for us however I doubt he would move to England again. He might want to have another crack in Italy to prove those critics wrong or make some money in Russia.

Are his kids still in this country?

I have a feeling he might come back. If he leaves I think England is at least as likely as Italy.

I'd worry that he is no longer ready for the PL battle but all the same if the money wasn't too bad it is definitely a gamble worth taking.

He will go back to Arsenal. Guaranteed.

              Sign Ribery instead.

Get some of your newspaper round pocket money together and we will have enough to sign Ribery.

                  Never, he's much too old.

Oddly, this was mentioned in Guardian Rumour Mill this morning . Misleading URL address mind.

...Anyway, this means spent force Thierry Henry may be heading for the Nou Camp exit. Arsenal are making vague noises about taking him back, though they probably don't really mean it, while Liverpool wheeler-dealer Rafael Benítez, the rich man's Barry Fry, is also interested in taking him to Anfield and playing the striker at least twice before trading him in for an X-reg Ford Granada.

If only we had £12m knocking about.

                      Oh, hang on!

I'd take him no probs, would be the perfect back up to Torres and he's said plenty of times in the past that he likes to play in front of the Kop

Id be happy with Henry but not at £12mill! Jesus hes a bit old now like and id say 5-8 mill would be top dollar for him. Otherwise id want that £12mill put towards someone younger and hungrier maybe.
