not the most entertaining but most effective - AC Milan team from a couple of years back(cca. 2001-2006)...it was creat to watch how every player knew what was his job, and did it to the best level.

Quality outfit, to be fair they could really turn on the style also, that 1st half in istanbul and when they dumped united out of it a few years ago they played some great stuff with the likes of great players like kaka and pirlo really on their game! At the minute barca are a joy to watch! Messi would be in my top 3 players ive watched of my generation along with zizou and ronaldo (the fat one)

We werent meant to include Liverpool teams. And it was 5-0.

Arrigo Sacchi's Milan side of the late 80s and early 90s were pretty awesome. Not in terms of entertainment value, but they were machine-like in their dominance.

Although the likes of Gullit & Van Basten helped on the entertainment front too.

In fact, werent they the last team to retain the European Cup? About 20 years ago i think, they won it in 1989 and then in 1990 too. Awesome team.
