So basically Hiddink will do the Chelsea job till the end of the season and same time continue in his Russian role.
Looking at his managerial record he seems overrated. Never really thought about it before but other than his success with PSV and a decent effort with Korea in the world cup he hasn't done anything else. I don't think he won anything with Valencia? Madrid sacked him after 1 season and Betis sacked him quickly too

Nah i don't think so, the market said next manager and not whether it was permanent or temporary. The caretaker is Wilkins.
If Hiddink accepts the 4 month contract then he is the manager regardless. A short term contract or long term contract, its still the same official title.
Anyway i have £13 at odds 7.5 and now £35 at 2.3 so that will do me

Im not talking about short term or long term for crying out loud. The Wilkins thing is irrelevant because it was announced as soon as Scolari was sacked so doesnt affect any market.Originally posted by -V- View PostChelsea won't be announcing that though. They have already said that Wilkins is the caretaker manager until they find the next manager. Like i said it doesn't matter if Hiddink signs a short term or long term deal, he will still be appointed Manager
If Chelsea announce "We've appointed Guus Hiddkink as manager till the end of the season" you'll get paid out.
If Chelsea announce "We've appointed Guus Hiddink as TEMPORARY manager till the end of the season" you wont be. Thats the rules.
Manager markets are based on PERMANENT managers, if its announced as temporary, interim, caretaker, you wont get anything. The market will remain open.

correct both of you - chris and craig i mean permanent manager it isOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostI think Chris is right here. In fact, even if they announce it as 'til the end of the season', i dont think the bookies will be forthcoming with a payout.
Them saying 'til the end of the season', by definition, would not be considered a permanent appointment, i dont think.
but if he takes it he will keep it im sure
i do rate hiddink highly in fact if rafa...
oh no best no
