I'm not sure his hostility towards Rafa extends to wanting to get his current employers relegated.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostSounds like he's already written it off as a defeat. He's so bitter towards Rafa, i doubt it'd bother him much to lose tomorrow.
Sounds like mind games to me."My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

I dont think it's one specific incident. He just takes every opportunity to have a pop at Rafa.Originally posted by fredo View PostWhy was he bitter about Rafa? Sorry couldn't recall the incident.
To be honest, i just think Allardyce is a typical old-school traditionalistic xenophobe.
Of course he doesnt want Blackburn to get relegated, but he's going into this game with a clearly defeatist attitude and the belief that other games are the ones to look at for points, in their quest for survival.Originally posted by BFG View PostI'm not sure his hostility towards Rafa extends to wanting to get his current employers relegated.

If you take him at his word.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostOf course he doesnt want Blackburn to get relegated, but he's going into this game with a clearly defeatist attitude and the belief that other games are the ones to look at for points, in their quest for survival.
How many managers talk about upcoming opposition in glowing terms? It's just a method to plant a little complacency in the mind of the opposition and take some pressure off your own players rather than an outward showing of a defeatist attitude. He won't be telling his lads in training that they've got no chance."My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. Totally agree. I wouldn't consider him an out and out racist, just a nob who thinks Rafa is wrong because he's a foreigner (rather than a manager who has actually won something of note) - xenophobe is the right word.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostTo be honest, i just think Allardyce is a typical old-school traditionalistic xenophobe.

True, but when they go a goal down after 10mins, they'll probably remember the comments as prophetic.Originally posted by BFG View PostIf you take him at his word.

It’s an absolute ****ing joke. Seeing as no-one else is even attempting to beat them, the Premier League should put United in a league of their own. A one team league. Let them play everyone else, beating them all obviously, and give them some trophy or other but let the other teams who actually try and beat other compete for the league title. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

haha ****ing shocking 2nd team in less than a week to have thrown the towel in
I mentioned this earlier on this season in a thread somewhere and have used this example before
Last time the mancs played blackburn, earlier on in season - i sat at home and flicked it on expecting blackburn to have a go - the were ****ing ****e, never put one tackle in, and floated through the game - i was so dissapointed to see a team put so little effort in
following these comments i'm considering putting a bet on united 3-0i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

It is a real ****ter and given that United eventually win most games 1-0 I fail to see the logic in going to nick a 0-0 if you try and score surely that makes the draw more likely. However, they have earned the position of fear that they have early in the season they had a lot of hard fought games (Newcastle on the first day for example) but their recent defensive form has everyone afraid of them. You earn that fear by being as good as they have been last season and recently this.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostIt’s an absolute ****ing joke.
