    Beckham and Milan

    How is this allowed?

I thought you couldn't sign a player outside of the transfer windows

Think it's different when the player is already on loan at the club, as he is already registered as a player at that club??

Gotta admire the fella, wiling to pay his own wages if it means he gets a chance to play real football and wear the England shirt again.

For a former manc he's a thoroughly great bloke and deserving of it. If only they all loved wearing the shirt so much we'd not be so crap and it would start to matter again.

I agree that he seems like a nice guy but it's much easier for someone to play just 'for the love of the shirt' when they're already on the rich list than someone who's future isn't as financially secure.

I have no doubt with buying his way to Milan, he will have either a higher stake or even full ownership of his image rights.
