Like I've posted elsewhere about this, my opinion is we'll only get him if he flatly refuses to sign for anyone else.
We will be out bid and won't be able to offer the same financial terms as others so unless he says it's Liverpool or nothing we'll struggle to compete

I think we will get him. It was on last summer if some are to be believed. the fact we let Keane go in Jan indicates Rafa will strike early in the next window and has somebody lined up.

Whilst I dont think we will sign Villa I just cant see him at City, they have been a disaster this season. Once Hughes gets sacked then they can start looking at bigger & better players.

I would love to see Villa sign for us though.

basically 3-5-2 or a complex 3-4-1-2. kyut for benni or riera for babel would also work well. full back has never been a great position for us so play 3 centre backs and get width from the extra man in midfield / attack. plus you can still have gerard behind the front man / men.

Fans need to stop treating football like a first 11 game only. Its about having a good enough all round squad. Villa would be a great addition to our squad. With him in the squad he could play up top with Torres in a 442 whilst we rotate our midfield and keep everybody fresh and firing on angles or and he could cover for Torres when he is injured

Tis true he'd be a great addition.

Plus, just thinking SURELY after hammering Madrid as we did, a player like Villa and others of his ilk must look at us as a team worth coming too.
Can you imagine how much respect he prob has for Madrid and to see us do what we did, plus the spanish connection, I'd say if he's moving he'd have to be interested in us.
