as much as they where all legends in their day. That was back then, and im pretty sure the standards of football players has increased. No doubt they would have shone, but in the modern game, i dont think they would of as much.

Reasoning: I'm assuming they're all out of contract in the summer and are over the age of 24.

Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

It is certainly a valid point. I'm not sure though - I think the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka, Messi, Gerrard and Torres have shown how much players can stand out amongst their peers even now. I think the difference is that there is an exoticism to football from the past that can't be created now. I think the players with the right attitudes like Pele would have thrived in current football and be in the same bracket as the current players I mentioned or above them. Seeing as City offered £100m for Kaka god knows what the values would be.

Surely Barnes would be up near the top. Every top team in the world would kill for a Barnes

Depended who owned each player and who was bidding.

Everyone of them could possibly go for £100m in todays market. In terms of Maradona and Pele, well forget about it. To many zeroes.

Everybody seems to underestimate just how good George Best was in his day and in my opinion overestimate Maradona

Don't agree, Maradona is a class of his own more or less despite what the English think.
