Harewood signs for Wolves on loan

    BBC SPORT, 2009/03/23 17:47:22 GMT

Wolves have signed Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood on loan until the end of the season.

The Championship leaders have brought in the former Nottingham Forest and West Ham star to bolster their attack for the last six games of the campaign.

The terms of the deal specify that after the first 28 days of the loan Villa can recall the 29-year-old with only 24 hours' notice.

This season, Harewood has appeared only 15 times for Villa, scoring one goal.

Harewood joined Villa in July 2007 for £4m but has never been more than a fringe player. The arrival of Emile Heskey in January limited his chances even more.

Haha, Heskey has been so much better than Harewood for Villa.

My brothers-in-law are both massive wolves fans, they seem to think that Homer will do well for them in thier promotion push. I think it has been proven that he is absolute toss in the EPL though

Don't see the benefit for Wolves IMO, Ebanks-Blake, Iwelumo and Keogh all doing pretty well at the moment.
