    Ronaldo Injured?

Sir Alex Ferguson's blood will be boiling after pictures emerged of Cristiano Ronaldo with his leg heavily strapped on international duty.

The Manchester United boss is praying his star men steer clear of injuries ahead of their return to Old Trafford next week.
    Cristiano Ronaldo
But the images of Ronaldo with an ice pack strapped to his left calf will leave Fergie fuming - and that's before Portugal's crunch World Cup qualifier with Sweden on Saturday.

Portugal bosses have moved to assure fans that the World Player of the Year is not seriously injured but United will be concerned as they chase the Quintuple.

Ronaldo is expected to play a key role in the Red Devils' attempts to finish the season with an unprecedented five trophies.

Ferguson is also keeping a close eye on the rest of his stars as they represent their countries in international week.
Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Ben Foster are all with England, while there are a dozen more players on duty around the world.

I'd love it if that was actually the first Ferguson knew of it.

wouldn't it be great if ALL our players come back fit, and United lost Rooney, Ferdinand and Ronaldo for a few weeks, along with a few players already suspended - they completley blew up and in the next four games say lost one and drew 2, with a scrappy ****ty win, giving them 70 points with 5 remaining games

Meanwhile we won are next four games so we would be on 76 points with four games!!

      Please happen

While I'm all for those results happening I'd much rather it be because Ronaldo and Rooney kept being petulant ****s and cost their team points and Vidic and Ferdinand continued along the route to moronic incompetence in defense. Winning the PL would be all the sweeter knowing that they had no excuses for falling away.

They could all be bundled into a NASA rocket and sent into orbit around the planet for all the difference it makes as far as I'm concerned.

Given how long we've waited for number 19 I don't care what circumstances surround our victory as long as we achieve it.

Having said that it would be extra sweet if the Mancs just continued to self destruct rather than succumbing to injury problems.

A fair point, but **** it. I just want the league.

I couldn't give a **** if they all succumbed to injury. If they want to use that against us then we can cite the number of games Torres and Gerrard haven't played together due to injury.

This is getting really exciting now!!

Yeah. Its so good after years, to finally still be in with a shout in the title run in at this time of year. Just hoping/wishing/praying that it turns out for us. Would be funny again a bit like 2005.

They qualify for Europe and we win the champions league.

This year the blue ****e get to a Wembley semi-final. And we outshine them winning the league/european cup ha ha.

One of the funniest sights for me in 2005 was on the market stalls in town. T-shirts with Passprt to Europe on them. Then, right next to it was a t-shirt with stevie g and the european cup just saying champions of europe

                      Made me laugh for days!!!!

Yeah it's strange that it feels completely normal to be in this position yet it hasn't been this way since I have been a fan.

Anyway back to Ronaldo, I think I'd rather he was out as his absence will want to make the opposition attack a bit more.

He'd get strapped up at the slightest little knock, load of bollocks i think!
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

The key sign will be if he turns out for Portugal.

If he was properly injured, he'd be back to Manchester.
