    Sven sacked

Can't believe he lost 6 of the last 7 matches. The lad must be minted with the amount of payoffs he has received! Who would have him.....

    He's a jammy ****er.

He'll be back in a top job within a few weeks I guarantee.

He was drinking a little too much tequila, methinks.

He has a good track record. Italy is possibly his best option back to winning stuff regularly.

You can hear the Chelsea rumours from now.

Was probably the best England manager for 40 years and he's not even English.

Shows how much you know about football.

He was doing better at City than Hughes is currently. And before their record signing.

                          Yeah I do.

England managers since Sir Alf Ramsey:
Don Revie - crap, didn't qualify for Euro 76
Ron Greenwood - relative success, got to England's first world cup in 12 years. Like Sven, didn't do enough in the second stages of the competitions
Sir Bobby Robson - possibly the best world cup campaigns since Ramsey's time in both 86 and 90.
                          Graham Taylor - utterly awful
Terry Venables - semi final in the Euros, lost again to Germany, on penalties
Glenn Hoddle - One tournament and lost to Argentina, didn't like him
Kevin Keegan - couldn't get out of the first stages of Euro 2000. Less said about Keegan's managerial style, the better
Sven Goran Ericksson - did well getting into the competition but once a Portuguese speaking team played England, the team fell apart.
                          Shteve McClaren -
Fabio Capello - five in five so far however lost to both Spain and France in friendlies.

From that list, Robson and Venables did a far better job in terms of finishing positions than Ericksson, therefore your point is null and void.

I actually think Sven did a decent job. But to say they "fell apart" against Portuguese speaking teams is a massive exaggeration bearing in mind they lost twice on penalties to Portugal and Brazil beat them 2-1. That's not exactly "falling apart".

And whilst Fredo saying he was the best in the last 40 years is also an exaggeration, he is certainly better than some are making out IMO.
