I absolutely detest them with a passion, but contained myself when filling out the questionnaire. I have doubts about this questionnaire though, as expressed in my "further comments":

Lots of these questions are difficult to answer via multiple-choice options due to the fact that MUFC's 'public relations' situation is complicated. They are the media darlings, with Sky in particular being so biased towards them that any potentially negative PR (Rio's missed drugs test, Rooney's aggression, rape allegations against team members, Fergie's temperament, referees' clear fear of ruling against them too often.....) is quickly dampened. This causes a justified resentment towards them among more knowledgeable fans, but increased perception of MUFC as the world's most successful, relevant and definitive football club among those less knowledgeable of the game.
Another question that should have been included is:

Should referees like Mike Riley be taken to task for their favouritism towards these ****bags, and be deducted one month's pay for each unwarranted minute of injury time they give them when they need to score a goal?

I am also analyzing the major broadcasters - Sky, Setanta and the BBC - and as much of the favouritism from them is towards Liverpool, more so than Chelsea or Arsenal.

Who was the last United player sat next to Jamie Redknapp in the Sky studio on match day? (Dion Dublin was there yesterday, but he played very few games for MUFC and many more for Villa) I believe Pallister and Schmeichel have made appearances, but cannot recall how recently.

Match of the Day is a perfect example; time after time it is Liverpool legends sitting with Linekar on the sofa, who himself is not a fan of Man Utd. Alan Shearer... also not much of a Man Utd fan. Whether this is to do with Sir Alex boycotting BBC interviews or not, remains to be seen.

I realize that Arsenal also have a presence on the MOTD sofa, with Keown accompanying Lee Dixon on occasion.

You make a good point about the Old Trafford effect, but surely the Kop has just as much sway with match officials, if not more?

Also, Rooney's aggression is a major issue for England as well. His tackle against the boy from Ukraine was disgusting, but it received very little media attention. If that tackle had been made when he was wearing a United shirt, would the consequences have been different?

You're nearly right, except that Jamie Redknapp seems to hate us because we made his lickle cousin Fwank cry a few times.

Oh and Lawro also doesn't appear to be much of a fan either.

Fair play, thats a good reply, in some ways much of the apparent injustices do happen for and against every team, we have scored a lot of goals in injury time this year so id guess the mancs rave about the refs allowing us so much injury time.

My whinge isnt against that so much as it is about Fergie and his constant bull****. I also hate Sky with a passion normally reserved for Mancs and really wish they had proper competition, their commentary is terrible and in my mind there is definitely a gray/keys agenda against liverpool. My severe dislike of gray may be coming into play though as some other lfc fans reckon hes ok, personally I hate him and monkeyboy and would rather mute the tv and have YNWA on repeat.

I am sorry if you feel this way, I was never intending to be a WUM.

My goal was to procure honest feedback and incite conversational debate, without stepping on toes or angering passionate fans. To the credit of many in this topic, I have received what I was looking for.

If you don't mind, could you please let me know which United players you dislike the most and why?

My assumptions would be Ronaldo ("diving greaser") and Neville ("manc ****").

Also, are there any United players that you respect? (I would expect Scholes and Giggs to be mentioned)

Filled in your survey mostly positively ..

In terms players I dislike the most, Ronaldo, Ronaldo Ronaldo he epitomes all thats wrong with the modern footballer mentally, spends most of his time on his arse with his hands out stretched, plays for a club with one eye on the next big club, got his own team mate sent off in the euros ... I would have had shot of him there and then .. sublime footballer .. but and utter **** of a man

I respect Gary Neville ... he hates us .. and I like that .. Berbatov is the laziest most indulgent striker I have seen in years .. I have a lot of respect for Giggs, for a player his age to still be at the top of his game .. a great pro and after some initial teething problems early on in his career a credit to his club ... Schooles I think is over rated and definitely on the slide ... If there was one player I would like at Liverpool its Vidic ..my kind of player ... top top defender

I respect United but I passionately support there immanent failures

I don't even really hate United. I quite respect the institution and it's history.

However I hate their smug arrogant fans and their ****** of a manager. And a few of their players could do with shooting too.

Bugger it, nuke the stadium whilst it's at capacity and start again, all that's left of the club will be their history. So we can start liking them again

I have the utmost respect for Giggs and that is it.

Neville is a hypocritical ****** and Scholes one of the slyest, dirtiest players ever to have played football.

The Manager epitomises everything bad about the club. His arrogance, disregard for the officials and continued obsessive boycott of the BBC will leave him well short of Busby in terms of respect from other supporters.

Sure you could argue that his success has not made him popular but I would argue the other points have been the main reasons I cannot stand the man.

As I am attempting to collect a wide cross-section of results, of particular interest is obtaining opinions from supporters of rival and neutral teams, as well as the biased thoughts of MUFC fans.
