Yep and the huge **** off groans and catcalls when he stands there crying and asking for a free kick instead of tracking back. They did exactly the same on Sunday. About two minutes later they were singing 'viva Ronaldo'. Absolute muppets.

Amazing. I got both results totally wrong today - having seen Porto against Atletico, I thought no way would they play the same way but credit to them, they were fantastic today however one criticism you could make was that they couldn't make more of the possession in the attacking third until the second goal.

United looked absolutely shattered having played two games in two days - they might benefit from the extra day off facing Sunderland but that was a template for the Mackems onto how to beat United. I know this sounds stupid but they are far more easy to penetrate than Liverpool. One slide ball between the midfield and defence and teams can capitalise - United gift far too much space against their opposition, more often than not, the opposition are scared to exploit it. I'm glad Liverpool don't play in such an expansive manner; had United played Barcelona tonight, they would have been absolutely slaughtered, they were extremely lucky it was Porto.

The more i think though the more i like it, regardless of the outcome of the tie, it's just good news, they have a damp squib of a performance before their next Premiership game, and it was they who were pegged back this game, deflating, all good stuff.

Problem for the Mancs is that they are not getting enough rest. I know people will say they could play seven games a week, but at the top level it makes a huge difference.

Worst of all for United is that this was an end to end kinda game. No respite what so ever. I hardly remember the ball going out. Great game to watch, and probably the total opposite of what Liverpool v Chelsea will be like.

Such a shame we did not get them at this stage, we would have battered them.

One more thing, when the chips have been down the Manc second string have not looked up to it.
          Forwards.......

I've gone from thinking the manner of the win v Villa was the worst thing that can happen for us it just might turn out to be the worst thing that happened for them. They've clearly not learnt the lesson, aren't playing well and believe they'll get away with it.Got alot of help from the ref tonight as on sunday only this time it didn't save them.

Come uppence is on the way.

            It's on

Hope they get knocked out by Porto the ****ing mugs.

Right, i've been out but i watched this game and i have to say, the mancs are looking like the most pale shadow of the 'invincible' team that nobody could score against, let alone beat.

No clean sheet in four games, defence giving the ball away every few minutes, no signs of solidity and now it's 10 goals conceded in their last 4 games.

They look so uncomfortable and lacking in confidence. Porto were miles better than i thought, i expected them to come over here, be tame and timid, and just roll over.

But they were confident, played expansive football and were fantastically assured and comfortable in possession. Excellent performance, they deserve to go through.

If the 8 teams United have to play in their remaining league games adopt some kind of belief and actually have a go, United will easily drop 4 points, if not more.

The impact of low confidence, uncertainty, fatigue and pressure is providing a very strong combination which has left them very vulnerable.

Long may this continue. After the Villa game, i was totally disheartened because i thought they'd just go on and click into gear, but tonight has thrown that into doubt.

The only worry is that teams such as Sunderland, Pompey and Boro are obviously nowhere near Porto's class, but if they put in 100% and make it a battle, they'll have the chance of nicking something.

Here's hoping. Thoroughly enjoyed tonight's game.

One other great thing is that tonight's result means they cant afford to rest players for the 2nd leg. If they'd won 2-0 or 3-0, they would've been able to rotate next Wednesday and freshen a few players up. Not now though

Manchester united a piss poor. I have never known any other team to have so much ****ing luck! They won't win in porto and they will drop points in the league. If you attack the ****ers they crumble. We are way better than that lot.

Man United were awful tonight and have been for some weeks now.

If they play like that for the rest of the season they'll win **** all.

They've cracked, I just hope Sunderland are up for it on Saturday....

All good stuff, and they've gone from the Villa high to the low of playing ****e and being pegged back in europe.

2 games now where they've looked **** at the back, given the ball away and looked fatigued as ****. He asked for a high tempo and they were knackered 5 mins in!
