hiddink is a great manager. the only thing counting against him is his age and how long he'd want to be a club manager.

The bench went absolutely mental last night when they scored the 2nd and 3rd. Don't think even they expected that result

I always thought if there would be someone to down Rafa it would be Guus. Mourinho, Ferguson etc are all too blinded by their love for themselves but Hiddink just seems to be like Rafa in not being obsessed with the media

Don't get me wrong he is a very good coach but not everything he touches turns to gold mate.

An unquestionably brilliant manager with a track record of success across the globe.

When asked who you would want to take if Rafa went, I've heard hundreds of reds say the exact same thing; "Mournho or Hiddink". If he stays at Chelsea beyond the end of the season I'll be gutted.

                Hats off to Guus.
The guy is a class act, no big chest thumping sound bites in the media, just got on with the job in hand. Yes the result hurt but we move on, on a side note is it me or were all the media bigging us up just a tad, maybe a lesson learned, just a thought.

by all this Hiddink arse licking just because he beat Rafa in one match and supposedly out thought him when we conceded 2 dodgy goals on corners.

Good manager yes, very experienced; he reminds me a bit of Bobby Robson. Not on a par with Rafa though. I think he's overrated.

Got to say I agree with this. Obviously Hiddink is a fantastic manager but this talk of Rafa being 'out-thought' is a load of bollocks IMO. We just passed the ball abysmally and gave two rotten goals away.

                        Yep, this is true.

                        Out-thought my arse.

Maybe not out-thought but definitely out-played. The scoreline flattered us, IMO, but it was a freak result. Now that the stalls have been set, ie both sides knowing exactly what's expected of them, we'll see who the master tactician is.

No question we were outplayed but I still don't see Rafa as being out-thought. Having Gerrard man-marked was hardly a masterstroke - Megson put Muamba on SG at Bolton but abandoned it when we went 2-0 up (I think). As I said we passed the ball really badly which went some way to allowing them to swarm all over us. And we were hamstrung by Mascherano's absence. IMO had he played they would never have taken us apart like that.

Likewise if Bosingwa had been fit, Ivanovic probably wouldnt have played.

                              Small details went their way.

...is going to get a wake up call on tuesday. You don't just come to Anfield, beat us in that manner and expect to get away with it scot-free.
