    Mancs games rescheduled

Not sure if this really matters much, but we're no longer playing before them in the next 5 games.

Middlesbrough away, originally scheduled for Sunday 3rd May at 4pm, will now be played on Saturday 2nd May at 12:45pm. On that same weekend, we're playing Newcastle at Anfield (Sunday 3rd May 1:30pm).

Their derby game at home to City was originally on Saturday 9th May, is now Sunday 10th May at 1:30pm. Our game that weekend is on Saturday 9th May, at West Ham (5:30pm).

And their Arsenal league game has been moved from Sunday 17th May to Saturday 16th May at 12:45pm. Our equivalent fixture is Sunday 17th May at 1:30pm (West Brom away).

    So in short:

    LIVERPOOL.................................................. .....................MANCHESTER UNITED

    19th April, 4pm - Everton - FA Cup

    21st April, 8pm - Arsenal (h)
    22nd April, 8pm - Portsmouth (h)
    25th April, 3pm - Hull City (a)
    25th April, 5:30pm - Spurs (h)
    29th April, 7:45pm - Arsenal (h) - Champions League

    2nd May, 12:45pm - Middlesbro (a)
    3rd May, 1:30pm - Newcastle (h)
    5th May, 7:45pm - Arsenal (a) - Champions League

    9th May, 5:30pm - West Ham (a)
    10th May, 1:30pm - Man City (h)
    13th May, 8pm - Wigan (a)
    16th May, 12:45pm - Arsenal (h)
    17th May, 1:30pm - WBA (a)
    24th May, 4pm - Spurs (h).........................................24th May, 4pm - Hull City (a)

It's mainly because the games are going to be broadcast live on tv*

      * - in order to help the mancs efforts in the league and in europe.

That's what I thought. I also remember Ferguson saying one week or so ago that he thought about doing that but decided not to in the end. It seems the pressure is telling on him especially we're out of the CL now.

****ing hell how thye managed that - ferguson kicks up a stink cause he see's his side could be under pressure so everyone bends over and makes happy.

Piss take - only the other week he did the opposite were there game against villa was going to be moved from a sunday to saturday to give him a a day extra to prepare for the champions league first leg but he kicked up a fuss cause it meant following the international break he was losing the extra days prepartion that playing on the sunday gave him!

Rafa hit the nail on the head when he said that at the start of each season maybe we should let ferguson pick and choose who and when his teams plays and the rest of the league fits round it too suit.

Whichever way you look at it, it's going to be incredibly hard work for them. So many games in such a relative short period of time, it cant be a bad thing for us.

I dont like that spell however, from 10th-16th May, where they play 3 league games before we play our next one. Potential 9 points which would kill off our bid.

They will be tough games especially so close to the end of the season. We might have sneaked in by then hopefully.

Course, if they mess up a game they play before us, it will give our lads a real boost, knowing they can go out and really pile the pressure on...it's all swings and roundabouts ain't it.

I have Spurs down as a game they MIGHT drop points in. Boro away too.

Pompey at home, forget it. And i dont think City will be capable of getting anything either. Then it comes to Wigan, who may hopefully still have 7th place within their reach.

Realistically, the only games i can see potential hope in, are Boro away (if Boro havent gone down already), Spurs home (if Spurs have a realistic chance of 7th), Wigan away (if Wigan can still get 7th), Arsenal home and Hull away (if Hull need it to stay up).

The FA will probably pass an amendment that if they do mess up a game that they can replay it

It will be interesting to see what Rafa says about that.

Yeah but i prefer them to be playing knowing we've just won. There's more pressure then.

There's far more pressure knowing you need to win to keep yourself ahead, than there is when you're already ahead.
