Im SO glad they're out, especially playing such a weakened team. We'd have never heard the end of it if they'd won.

    Well done Everton.

Just rewards for Moyes. He's taken Everton to a new level. I know he get salot of stick on here(i dont really get it myself) but no-one can question his ability as a manager.
You often here of managers who 'get the best out of their players'... he has to be the best in the business for that.

What's not to get? He's the manager of our fiercest local rivals and a bitter cunt, to boot. Moan moan, whinge whinge.

I think he's a good motivator but i dont think he's a tactician. He'd get found out at a big club.

So what? just because he's manager of Everton means we have to hate him. Bit silly imo. Name me a manager who doesn't moan. Rafa does his fair share.
Moyes has on many occasions been complimentary to Liverpool FC as well. I think some of us still cant get over his people's club comment he made at the beginning of his time at Everton but maybe he was just looking to win over fans early on, big deal.

Jog on marky, if you cant see the point of hating your most fierce rivals, why are you a football fan?

I wanted everton to win today because it was the lesser of two evils and i wanted all this bollocks of a quintuple to **** off.

But everton are still the same bitter bluenose ******s, all that stuff that allardyce is saying about rafa is the same ****e everton came out with when he called them a smaller club.

They're still the same cunts who will blame us for everything and who'll put it down to heysel and us when chelsea rip them a new one in the final.

            They can **** off.

Referees are reluctant to give us penalties, moans Ferdinand

              • 'I don't know how the referee didn't give the penalty'
              • Ferguson believes Moyes' comments a factor

Rio Ferdinand believes referees are wary of giving penalties to Manchester United. The United defender rounded on referee Mike Riley for his failure to give United a second-half penalty when Danny Welbeck went down under Phil Jagielka's challenge.

"I don't know how the referee didn't give the penalty but that is the way it goes," said Ferdinand. "We don't get many penalties these days. Referees are reluctant to give them to us. Maybe they are being put under pressure by people in the media but that is the way it goes.

"We are not going to harp on about it because, in the end, we were not good enough in the penalty shoot out. There was always going to come a day when you don't have a good time in that situation and this was it."

His manager, Alex Ferguson, was furious on the touchline. Asked if he thought Riley didn't award the spot kick because of remarks made earlier in the week by Moyes about Riley, he replied that it could have been a factor. "I think it might have been," Ferguson said. I'm not saying that for certain. I've no idea if it affected the decision but you never know. It may have. It can prey on a referee's mind.

"I've seen the video and it looks a penalty kick but in the importance of the game the referee probably has to be dead sure. Why would he [Welbeck] go down when he had the goalkeeper stranded out of his goal? It was a major decision and unfortunately it has gone against us. Nothing you can do about it. We have to move on now.

"When he [Riley] sees it he'll probably realise he's made a mistake but I can't say that's the reason for us losing."

His Everton counterpart, Moyes, also admitted: "I thought it looked a penalty kick. If I had been the manager I would have been calling for a penalty kick."

ferdinand forgot the game vs Villa a fortnight ago:

                5 minutes injury time
3 atrocious offside decisons vs Villa
throw ins in favour of the scum, in front of the linesman (where accidentally they scored the 2nd goal)

He forgot that Rooney was suspended for 1 game for throwing the ball against the ref. and hitting the corner flag. Make no mistake had it been mascherano he would be suspended 5 games!

"dont get many penalties these days"- like it's their right to have one. Class.

Or possibly non-locals don't take it all as personally (which isn't to say either one is better than the other).

He needs to get his support on his side as much as any manager which is why he says things they like hearing. If he was Liverpool manager he'd probably call Everton a smaller club like Rafa did. I completely understand why what he says grates though, especially if you're surrounded by Evertonians much of the time.

I think Craig's point about tactics may be true but we really have no way of knowing for sure. I'd have thought the fact they are doing pretty well despite the lack of quality in their squad and the injuries in attack they have had suggests he's not completely inept tactically. He probably isn't at Rafa's standard there but then it seems very few in world football are.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Not to sure about that. Reckon he's in line for the scum job. Can see him doing quite well there aswell.

They are our rivals yes, but that doesn't mean we have to hate them...in order to have a rivalry, there is no need for hatred.

Bitter blue nose ******s...cunts...they can **** off...are you sure it's them that has bitterness and hatred, and not yourself?

I'm gonna cheer on Everton against Chelsea (not that it'll do much good like, cos Chelsea will probably tear them to shreds) cos it'll be good for Merseyside football if they can win the cup...and even better if we can win the league.

This mindless, bitter anger towards Everton and towards us from them works two ways...you, and others, are just as bad as them.
