Rafa never said Everton were a small club, just that they were smaller than Liverpool. I doubt other than Evertonians there is a person alive who would disagree with Rafa.

It's idiotic commenst like this that keep the disrespect between the clubs. But to be fair to him he's probably just being an idiot and going on what Ferguson said the other day.

I hope Everton win the cup and we win the league.
    Forwards.......

I think I want the Bitters to win it. Then we win the league, to trump their triumph, with Barca winning the CL. We win the league, Chelsea win nowt, Everton win an overshadowed FA Cup.

Fair play to them if they win it as they'll have had to beat us, the scum, chelsea and villa to do so
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If that happened it'd be an all merseyside day out at Wembley for the charity shield, it'd be like the 80's again

I’m all for improving our relationship with Everton and I’m already making an effort. I sided with the Blues at the weekend, told the Bluenoses here how I’d be behind them, praised them for their JFT96 flag etc etc.

So I’ve come in this morning and shared my delight with the (still hungover) Blues in the office.

                      They are really pushing it.

“Great atmosphere,” I said. “Totally outsung the Mancs…they are wank…”

To which one of them replied...

“Best atmosphere I’ve ever been in. Made more noise than you cunts have ever made…”

FFS pal, I’m really trying here.

“We outnumbered them three to one and on the way down all we saw were Blues…”

I had to try really hard to resist to making a jibe about it being their Cup final and first big game for 15 years.

Then one of ‘em told me he’s gonna miss the final as he’d booked a holiday months ago. I said “ah well, at least you made it for the semi and saw them win, you’d have thought Chelsea will probably beat you eh?”

“No way. We’re as good as anyone, we’ve proved it….”

Oh give me a break man.

“…we’ve beaten you, Villa, Boro and United on the way to the final. Why not Chelsea? Villa were 3rd when we beat them too.”

                      Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhh!!!

shaggy thats the thing - right there in ur post. I, in fact most reds I know, have been say, quite accomodating for Evertons win, it was against the mancs, so firstly stopped all this quintuple wank, and secondly following an emotional week with hillsborough there seemed to be a general feeling of a bit of mutual respect between the clubs - a blue mate of mine was at wembley and said the mancs were singing about hillsborough and that the everton fans were going ****ing nuts about. But.....we give them and inch and they will take a mile!!! - So well done Everton, a hell of a achievement to get to the final, but step back into reality here - ur still miles and miles away from really catching the big 4, u have great team spirit and desire but no real class.

I'm split - If we win the league then yes I won't mind them winning the fa cup - it'd be a great atmosphere on merseyside and english football we will be back in liverpool where it belongs - if we don't win the league tho - well I hope chelsea stuff the cunts and make a few of them cry
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

To be fair, they did beat a Villa side at a time when Villa were playing well, and they beat us when we were pretty much full strenght...yes, they struggled badly against a weak United side, but i sometimes think playing a side you know you should beat creates nerves, especially on a big occassion...it's not like we haven't struggled against weak teams that we know we should wipe the floor with either.

No, Everton aren't a top four side in the premiership, but they have shown that on their day they can live with and beat better teams than themselves. And i hope they pull a surprise and leave Chelsea trophy-less come the end of the season.
