Because many of the fans who go week in-week out are on that list so giving them a season ticket seat would leave another one empty.Originally posted by ntto View Postcould we not sell that out?
It mystifies me when there's talk of a 15 year wait for season tickets and yet only increasing our capacity to 60k still wouldnt satisfy that listThose that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

They can extend but only backwards which would encompass the railway line, which services Trafford Park, so it can't be closed down.
The only options are to build over it, as there is no room to re-route, due to dwellings
on the other side of the tracks.
I think the last time this was looked at it got canned in the pre-planning stage, plus it was objected by the local residents.
Where would the Glazers get the money from to extend, considering they gave just posted a great big loss, already owe £700m and in my opinion would struggle to fill another 15000 seats.I make no apologies, this is me

The vast majority of season tickets are hand me downs though - hence you could probably cut that list in half and would probably nearer the true figure.Originally posted by ntto View Postcould we not sell that out?

I think we would struggle to fill 70,000 seats week in week out, especially the mid week games.I make no apologies, this is me

The major problem that Anfield would have other than cost is transport.
The parking situation around Anfield is getting worse, as the Residents Only scheme is being widened out for the start of next season.
Can you imagine another 30,000 people descending on Anfield on a match day?
Driving in and out of Liverpool would take the whole weekend.
Although, I would hate to have an out of town football ground, you can't escape the logistical nightmare of getting 75,000 people in and out of Anfield in the current position.
Park and ride, new railway line would help - but all at a cost.

The old restricted zone surrounded Stanley Park, Goodison Park and Anfield and was bounded by Breckfield Road, Walton Breck Road, Everton Valley, Fountains Road, Melrose Road, Breeze Hill, and Walton Road.
The expanded zone is bounded by Carisbrooke Road, Taylor’s Lane, Haggerston Road, Walton Hall Avenue, Queen’s Drive, Townsend Lane, Dorset Road, West Derby Road, Breckfield South, Breck Road, and Heyworth Street, where it meets the existing scheme.
