    Craig Gordon "injury"

From a grade A source from within Sunderland FC.

Craig Gordon is NOT injured as is being reported. The reason he is not playing is that he has played 49 games for Sunderland. One more game played triggers an automatic one million pound payment to Hearts, which Sunderland would rather not pay if they are heading for the Championship.

A rather defeatist attitude you might think, but as my Sunderland supporting flat mate said, Martin Fulop is not exactly playing any worse than Craig Gordon so it's not exactly much of a risk. The decision was made after a less than glourious performance by Gordon in goal in his last game.

If Sunderland stay up expect him to remain at the stadium of light. If they go down he'll be among the first out the door.

I heard this too the other day, reckon its probably true.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

Whether true or not he was one of the worst big money transfers in the PL in the last few years.

That's pretty funny, bad news for Sunderland though

Its not one million, more in the region of just over 300,000. pounds. He will play a 50th game.

He's having surgery on his "injury" which is a bit far to go to avoid paying £1m isn't it?

Believe what yous like. This is guaranteed true. I'd like Sunderland to stay up for me flat mate but have no affiliation to them what so ever. And I would not post this for kudos, as frankly I couldn't give a **** and this is an LFC site anyhow so I doubt many people give a **** anyway.

Purely posted it out of interest because I was shocked to hear this. 100% true, but you can take it or leave it for me.

Both could be right. The surgery may have been able to wait until the summer but he's having it now because they don't want to trigger the extra payment.

                      Just a thought.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

All for £300,000, very doubtful IMO. Surely a £9million signing would help them survive in the Premiership. Do people really think Sunderland are that pennypinching?
