Im with Craig on this one, I think he's a much better player than he shows for them. Look at his record before he joined United, it was incredible.

I'd be pretty miffed if we signed another average striker and played him on the wing. Kuyt does a grand job on the right but on the other side we need a damn sight more than hard work. Tevez doesn't beat people, he has no pace. One Kuyt is fine. Two Kuyts don't make a right.

Seriously though, signing him at the prices mooted, only to play him on the wing, would be crazy IMO. And I'm sure he'd be well pleased to be shunted into a position in which he hates playing.

Yeah I'd rather Silva for the left and then also get Kuba to compete with Kuyt on the right.

Mate, he does beat people. He is a simlar player to Kuyt but a much better goalscorer. I would play him in any of those front three positions, I think he'd be much better than what we currently have out there and would be perfect cover centrally when Torres was out.

The one thing I will agree with you on is that for the reported fee its a non starter anyway.
