Ah well, Liverpool can only blame themselves. United haven't been at their barnstorming best this season. We dropped points at the JJB this season, United come back to win. At the end of the season, we could potentially be six points off the champions. Do I think we were two wins worse off United? Absolutely not. We were one player off this season, Fernando Torres. Not to say we are a one man team, far from it but to lose a striker who has guaranteed goals in his locker. Maybe we are too reliant on Torres, but this finish to the season shows we now have players across the attacking third that can influence and win games.

Its imperative for us to start in the same manner we have finished. Murdering teams with imaginative, constructive football. Not only will it give the side confidence but it will send a message to defeatist teams arriving at Anfield and maybe you might get your Roy Hodgson's and Steve Bruce's of this world declaring defeat before kicking a ball.

Nah he didnt. If anything, he gave Wigan an extra minute even though they were pissing about taking ages to take their late freekick, and then their corner when the 3 minutes had passed.
