Chelsea won't be a serious threat either. Im convinced that they will sell Drogba but unless they bring in another expensive striker and a couple of expensive wingers then i can't see them competing.

Arsenal- All down to the defence, they need to bring in atleast 2 centre-halfs. Replace Adebayor and add a def centre mid. Doubt they will have the money to do it this summer

Its between us and the scum
I think Chelsea will be a serious threat next year. I think Drogba will stay and if they keep their players relatively fit they will be near the top better.

    Agree with Arsenal.

United will replace the players they need to and replace them well, Ferguson has done it before and can do it again. Giggs and Scholes are not essential to the squad anymore. Hope Vidic will leave along with Tevez, don't care about Ronaldo.

Berlusconi calls him one of his first footballing sons. Rijkaard is the other choice.

chelsea need to get a couple of quality wingers in, and keep drogba motivated if he stays, he was awful in the first part of the season.

don't see who ferguson can bring in who will replace all the experience giggs and scholes have. it's fantastic to have 30 years of experience on the bench and use it at any time he feels like it. andeerson and particulary nani have noot been a succes, if they were ever touted as replacement for giggs&scholes

If Essien stays fit next year, Chelsea will be a major threat for sure.
if Ancellotti does come in it alll depends how well he adapts to our game.
Major Doubts over them for next year, but they have the squad and money.....also a fit Joe Cole as well next year will make a big difference

            Arsenal.
Wenger may go not sure he has the stomach for the fight knowing how much Scum/Liverpool/Chelsea are ahead of them or.......
Will the KIds that we have been hearing so much about finally come through, WIll they ****!! i predict lots of pretty play by arsenal, semi's in the coca cola and thats it

            Scum
I think if perez gets in at RM then Ronaldo will play for them next year and it wouldnt surprise me if Portucunt and Tevez stayed. Giggs/Scholes/Neville will be out to pasture next year.
They will play better next year i am certain of that.....but lets hope some of the luck runs out and some refs grow balls at OT cant see it though.

I can only see Scum as a major Challenger and it all depends on our transfer buys.....get 1 or 2 more matchwinners in the side and i will firmly believe we will win it next year

It's going to be a tougher season than this year imo, i've a feeling that after the Champions league disappointment The Russian will spend big at Chelsea, going after the very top players, Kaka even, if his present manager joins them he could well follow.

Arsenal will have Arshavin and a fit Eduardo, and i think Wenger will also splash an unusually large amount on players than he has before, probably on more experienced players, defenders are likely additions.

As for who leaves those clubs, that's open to question, it's just media talk for now, and the players talked about at Arsenal haven't really contributed much anyway due to injury, Adebayor is a puzzle, good player when his head is right, but if he's not happy there he could hinder rather than help.

The Scum, hopefully they are more or less at their peak, who they'll add is a worry, but if they keep or sell Tevez either way i don't see their forward line being strengthened, but he'll spend, you can bet your life on it.

My biggest worry is, can we have such a consistent season as this one, i know we dropped points where we should'nt have, but will we take as many off our rivals? doubtful imo, but there is still scope for points to be made up against other teams we dropped points to this season.

Who we buy is key, how much Rafa has to spend is a huge issue, Kuyt is contributing so much more than he used to, 14 goals he's weighed in with so far, add to the mix a fit for the season Torres, & right there we have extra points in the bag.

So in conclusion...our biggest rival will be ourselves, if we perform as we have this season, keep Torres fit, add a couple of special players, we CAN win the league.

Next year we wont do as well in the Top 4 Mini League.....I think our performance in that is probably the best out of all the 4 clubs since football began (1991)

I am more than confident in acheiving a similar away record as this year.....We just have to win at Anfield Simple really....do that and imo we win the league

You'd be surprised at what you can achieve in a sub-standard league with a ****e manager just ask Mourinho

Abramovich is losing interest and i can only see Chelsea fading even more, as for arsenal Wenger he is still building and his reluctance to spend money will hinder them again next season, so for me the scum will be are only real rival, and with them having a paranoid manager bordering on dementia and obvious financial troubles hence the not signing of teves and us having the young dynamic benitez who now as put passion and fire in the belly of the most free scoring and exciting team in the country its no contest as long as we can overcome the cheating that is. ps against public oppinon i think gareth barry will the catalyst that brings us number 19 its a discipline thing.

My feeling is that it is the first time in a long while where it could be reasonably argued that all our major rivals have as much work as we do this transfer window.

I agree with that, was saying to a mate yesterday, I could just be a case of who makes the better signings in the summer or even whose new players settle in first

                                really?

i would say arsenal and ourselves could do with 2 or 3 new additions.

chelsea definitely need an overhaul as a lot of their main players are getting on now. ballack and drogba are 2 massive pieces that will stop working in the next season or two. and they dont seem to have the money they used to have so you cant assume anymore that theyd just go out and get 2 world class superstars.

the mancs have a very strong squad assuming nobody leaves, tevez seems doubtful though. they could actually be even stronger in some bizarre way. tevez is a good player but hes got what, 4 league goals all season? if they use the 30m on somebody else they could get someone better than him in.
