    Who was the first Republic Of Ireland player to score in the English Premier League??

                        I believe the english premier league began in the 1992-93 season, and that the player you are looking for is Bernie Slavin, who scored twice for Middlesbrough in a 2-0 victory over Man city on 19/08/1992, the first after 15 minutes.

                        Like most good Irish internationals of the time, he wasn't actually irish, being born in Paisley, or so soccer base tells me!
