    Barça v United

Looks like Henry and Iniesta are winning their battles to be fit so that's good news. You'd worry about Barcelona's defence at the best of times but you sure as hell do now with Alves, Marquez and Abidal all ruled out
Nevertheless Barca are well capable of beating them cunts. No doubt many mancs will come out of the woodwork just in time for the final.
    Come on Barca

Not even going to waste my time and get any hopes up, it's painfully predictable what will happen.

The mancs will set up to stop Barca playing with 8 men behind the ball, and will spoil their arses off. And on one of their breakaways (or set pieces), Rooney or Ronaldo will pop up with the winning goal, because Barca wont/cant play in a manner that can nullify Ronaldo and Rooney.

It is time someone took a real beating in the CL final and I pray it will those Manc *******s.

I think Barca have 1 last great performance in them this season. Fingers crossed Henry is fit because I think he will tear O'Shea a new one if he plays.

Henry and Iniesta both trained today. They are hungry for this success, absolutely determined to do the job and get revenge for last year. They were set-up badly year and failed to produce the goods but they weren't exactly beaten convincingly.

I believe in this Barca attack, they will break them down. Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Henry, Etoo- they all know whats at stake and they all have good experience of big finals

My mate, whose a die hard Barcelona fan, hates United, closet Liverpool fan (never admits it but loves Torres and Reina) said Barcelona must score an early goal to beat United. I refuted stating, teams who score early bottle it against United. Get the goal as late as possible therefore no more scenes like at Barcelona, eh Red Clive?

Early goal is the best thing. It then opens United up

Why dont you start a thread about Liverpools next match so we have something to talk about?

To be fair, this is the biggest game in the European football calendar. Not Liverpool/Man Utd v West Brom.

I have Man Utd as heavy favourites. Barca were fortunate against Chelsea with a better team, and Chelsea are not in Man Utds league.

If Barca can keep the ball again then I expect they could win, but as Craig says, it's hard to see Barca keeping out Ronaldo and Rooney. You'd expect both teams to be well up for it, and Barca will need Henry and Iniesta to be fully fit.

Actually the mor I think about it the more I think it could go either way. And I mean massively in one teams favour. I fancy the winner to rack up a really big score. Either team could end up winning 5-1 or something.

Couldn't disagree with you more. It will be a tight game with little to separate them. Both teams have big players and it will come down to which big players make their mark. I fancy Messi and Iniesta to go out and make a point

Barcelona do overplay it sometimes,as shown against Chelsea in both legs. This is a one off game they dont have the second leg to fall back on and i can see Barcelona being like they where against Real Madrid. Deadly.

                            Mancs 1-0 Barca

Here’s how it will pan out:
                            • Barca monopolise possession from kick-off, moving the ball around sweetly. United press, chase and harry to little avail.
                            • United string 10 players along and in front of the edge of their box, leaving Ronaldo up on his own, largely sulking.
                            • ‘The new Pele’ Wayne Rooney follows Messi everywhere. The defensive wonder Rooney to become known in future as ‘the new Terry Butcher’.
                            • Barca pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass – making little headway beyond the edge of United’s heftily-protected box
                            • United enter Barca territory for the first time on 38 minutes. Ronaldo dives. Free-kick. Deflection, goal. The ball trickles into the bottom corner.
                            • Barca pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass. SOMEONE SHOOT FFS.
                            • Barca begin to have some shots but a series of lucky United breaks sees the ball whistle narrowly wide time and time again.
                            • Barca have one cleared off the line.
                            • United are time-wasting. 42 minutes to go.
                            • Dive dive dive dive dive dive dive dive.
                            • Ferguson is looking at his watch maniacally. 35 minutes to go.
                            • The game is fizzling out. Barca out of ideas.
                            • End. 1-0 Mancs. One of the worst finals in living memory.
