This is true, when you sign for RM you basically sign your life away, they own all of the income from you, they market the players for personal appearances etc.....and pocket the cash

Last time they got in massive debt it was wiped out by the King of Spain. They can do as they please. I'm particularly excited at the prospect of knocking a team of that strength out of the CL.

correct me if i am wrong but from what i remember it wasnt the king of spain, it was basically the madrid council overpaid for all the land and wiped out all the debt.

Speculation has been mounting that the Brazilian playmaker will swap the San Siro for the Bernabeu following Florentino Perez's return as Real Madrid president, and reports on Tuesday evening in Spain claimed a deal had been agreed between the clubs during talks in the Spanish capital.

But in a statement released on the club's official website, Milan insisted Galliani had only travelled to Madrid to attend a dinner for Perez.

The statement read: "The general manager of the Rosseneri, Adriano Galliani, is in the city of Madrid exclusively for the investiture dinner of Florentino Perez, the new president of Real Madrid."

Earlier on Tuesday Kaka, who turned down a move to Manchester City in January, claimed he wants to stay at the San Siro.

"I'll say it for the last time. The last time. I don't want to leave Milan," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"In this period I prefer to remain silent because I don't want to be misunderstood. Or, worse still, to be used.

"To the millions of Milan supporters, I say that I have made my choice. I have said what I want to stay.

          "Leave me in peace, please."

Kaka was the subject of a big-money bid from City in January but the audacious swoop failed, with the player insisting he had no desire to leave Milan.

Since then he has been linked with a move to Madrid and speculation increased still further as the return of Perez - who was in charge during the Spanish club's famous Galacticos era - grew ever more likely

Yep the local council bought the training ground for about £100m+ and let them stay there rent free. so the basically wrote the ****ers a check for £100m for nothing.

Perez can go out and buy Kaka, Scumnaldo and ribery but the fact is they will have to try and topple a Barca team that has a front 3 of Eto'o, Messi and henry as well as having Xavi and inesta. which will be no small feet.

                  Why i hate madrid

I'll tell you why.. because I cannot support a team that has established itself by sucking the life out of other teams, by shifting the blame onto other people, by having debts magically written from their balances - is this a football team or a financial enterprise hell bent on merchandise and profit - using their famous supporters to their advantage? Just when you think the storm has subsided and you might be able to support this team - they turn around and **** on the footballing world once again - proving their contempt for the beautiful game..

Allow me to explain my anger... It all began with the cold war... Spain is a country divided by many ethnicities: the Castilians, Catalans, Galicians, Basques, Andalusians, the islanders (canary, malaga, mallorca), the list does continue.. Some of these ethinicities have their own languages, their own way of life - but all were controlled by the Castilians from Madrid.. just look at a road map of Spain, all roads lead to Madrid... Again, before you label me a Spain or Madrid Basher - Most of my friends from Spain are Madridistas and I love them dearly, but I hate (and they know this) their football club, Real Madrid... Anyways, Real Madrid means Royal Madrid and has been a symbol of Castilian football... fair enough, not a problem, but when the different people of Spain were not allowed to speak their own language and had to adopt Castilian Spanish as their mother tongue - things felt a little wrong - when the only place you can speak Catalan without the fear of being shot by the Guardia Civil, is the Estadio Nou Camp, things felt a little wrong... Generalissimo Francisco Franco and his rightist controlled Spain and was a huge Real Madrid fan.. After all, Madrid embodied everything 'Spanish' - in his eyes, they should be the true representation of Spain..

                  Stealing Players
Alfredo Di Stefano, a rising Argentine football star, was plying his trade with Colombian team Millonarios when he was first spotted by Barcelona scouts.. I've just researched this information on the web, and have found so many conflicting stories, but after conferring with Charly Garcia (a lifelong Madrid fan, my story is pretty close to the truth)... So Barcelona buys Di Stefano's contract and brings him to play in La Liga and score goals for the Azulgrana... Midway through the first season, Real decide that it's just not fair, so they contact Di Stefano's old club in Argentina (River Plate) and get them to prepare documentation that Madrid actually bought him from them... I find this story hard to believe because Millonarios were a footballing powerhouse at the time, they were one of the strongest teams in South America, how would they have snagged a River Plate star without agreeing a deal? But this is where Real's string pulling comes into play and they manage to bring this dispute to the Spanish courts, where Franco decides that both Barcelona and Madrid own Di Stefano's contract and that they should share him. Barcelona refuse and offer to sell him to Juventus... Madrid refuse, Leave FC Barcelona to cut their losses and give up Di Stefano... what happens next? Madrid begin their Historical Stamp in European football with Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskás
as the golden boys winning 5 European Championships in a row.. the blonde arrow has since become the Honorary Chairman of Madrid (even though he was originally brought to Spain through Barcelona and taken from them unfairly)...

Another example of Madrid's ‘unbelievable fortune’ in Spain: after the successive record transfers of Figo and Zidane, Madrid find themselves a record 165 million pounds sterling in debt. What do they do? they sell their 50 year old training complex "Ciudad deportiva" for an overvalued amount of approximately 347 million pounds sterling.. how do you ask this happened? well They say that Perez got the city councilors to reclassify the land to development property - and with that Madrid's debts were wiped.. Perez made his millions as a contractor and builds Madrid's next training compound for a nice tidy profit.. you make the call... corruption??? this stinks like Bernard Tapie and his meddling that robbed Marseille of their Champions League Trophy in the 90s..

                  Definitely a little bitter

All those reasons are why i ****ing hate the ****ers with a passion! I have a friend who is Basque and he has filled me in many time about Real madrid and franco. They are corrupt to the core and i had hoped we had seen the back of Perez but guess not.

As much as i hate the mancs atleast they have got rich the right way through hardwork and success on the pitch.

Madrid are just crooks who find ways to get rich and clear debts by selling their training ground!!!!

I hope Perez buys these stars and Barca rip them a new arse hole next season.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Bloody Madrid.... Leave Xabi and Kaka alone ffs

Our good little basque boy Xabi wants to stay.. he's happy at Liverpool

Kaka wants to stay with Milan, he's said time and again he wants to become Milan captain later - he's already said next season he wants to be the one that sells Milan to the new players. Plus his baby brother is there too. Feck off Berlusconi if you sell someone with loyalty and integrity. But given the way Maldini was treated, I cannot say I am overly surprised.

But besides Real Madrid is a rotten corrupt dirty joke of a club,
I cannot see in footballing terms why ANYBODY would want to go to that shower of ****. Unless they shore up their defence, they will continue to bleed goals. And they stupidly sold Cannavaro. Morons.

Feck off Madrid and take Ronaldo with you while you are at it.

We are accused on living on history, then wtf is Real then?

Chelsea's late bid to hijack Madrid's £65m Kaka deal looks doomed

David Hytner and Sid Lowe, Wednesday 3 June 2009
                                The Guardian

                                • Real Madrid confident they will seal deal for Brazilian
                                • Chelsea hoped Carlo Ancelotti would prove trump card

Kaka was the subject of a dramatic late bid from Chelsea tonight although Real Madrid remained confident that they would hold off the London club and secure the £65m signature of one of the game's most sought after players.

Madrid were saying privately last night that a deal was in place to take the playmaker to the Bernabéu but that a formal announcement would not be made until today at the earliest and possibly not until the end of the week.

Chelsea, aware that the Spanish club was close to sealing an agreement with Milan, stepped up their pursuit of Kaka with a huge rival offer. They hoped that their new manager, Carlo Ancelotti, could prove a trump card. Ancelotti has just left Milan, where Kaka blossomed into one of the world's finest players under his guidance. The Italian enjoyed an excellent relationship with Kaka and Chelsea wanted him to use his powers of persuasion to try to lure the player to west London.

Last night sources at Chelsea had effectively given up hope of beating Madrid to Kaka's signature. At one stage, though, their chances of concluding a deal appeared positive when negotiations between the player's father, Bosco Leite, who is also his agent, and Madrid seemed to break down. One reason for the stalling of talks was the size of the commission due to Leite. But Madrid last night were convinced that the transfer will go through and that Kaka will sign a five-year contract on €9m (£7.8m) a year after tax. The fee is substantially lower than the £91m offer made by Manchester City in January.

A dramatic day saw Leite enter talks with Real about a possible transfer before Adriano Galliani, the Milan vice-president, pitched up in Madrid to hear the offer. Last night the player was in Brazil awaiting news. Earlier in the day he had once again pledged his loyalty to Milan.

Kaka's departure from Milan appeared to be signalled by the club's owner, Silvio Berlusconi, who said they "cannot keep him". "It's difficult to keep someone who wants to go," he said. "They are offering him a lot of money." This was understood to be Real and Chelsea. With Florentino Pérez back as the president at the Bernabéu, another lavish spending spree on galácticos is in prospect and the signing of Kaka would represent an early coup.

Chelsea's move for Kaka, though, is the clearest signal yet that Roman Abramovich, the billionaire owner, is ready to revert to type and throw millions of pounds at his project. He has a glittering array of targets that include another Brazilian at Milan, Pato, and it appears Chelsea have made an inquiry about the forward.

"We have had requests for Kaka and Pato from two of Europe's biggest clubs and we will try to resist but there is an uneven playing field," said Galliani. The 19-year-old Manchester City forward Daniel Sturridge is also on Chelsea's radar as his wage demands scuppered City's hopes of securing him on a contract beyond this month. Abramovich's enthusiasm has been re-fired after the disappointment of the Luiz Felipe Scolari era by the encouraging progress made under the interim manager, Guus Hiddink. Abramovich is determined to back Ancelotti fully and enter the new season with a squad to wrest the league title back from Old Trafford and end the club's wait for Champions League glory. Ancelotti has said that in his meetings with Abramovich he detected in him "a hunger" for the game's top honours.

Ancelotti said that Abramovich had come "not to recognise" his Chelsea under Avram Grant, Scolari's predecessor, and he added that Abramovich was determined to create a team to thrill the supporters, and to fulfil his long-held ambition of enjoying an entertaining style. The arrival of Kaka would have bolstered that ambition but the player seems destined for Madrid.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                                Mine angry and defrauded young?
