Alan Shearer really is an England - you know - fan. Like, Kane there just smacked the ball straight at the keeper at the end of the 2H. He didn't have much opportunity to do anything else, but Shearer makes out like it is a great strike. Not.

Kane - that should never be a penalty - Kane clearly initiated the contact trying to win a pen.

Dragging your foot to make the contact happen shouldn't be considered as a pen. Right decision imo.

To be honest, the only time I have seen Yan Diomande play is at these world cups, and I've not seen the reason for the hype yet. I've especially not seen a reason for a £100m price tag. I know he's playing in a weaker side, but he hasn't stood out as better than his team-mates.

Barcola on the other hand has looked on a par with the players around him in the French team, a much better talent. So why would PSG want to sign Diomande and risk Barcola wanting to leave? Unless Barcola's mind is already made up and they need a replacement?

Just saw this on FB & I can’t confirm if it’s fact but I’m sure there’s been plenty of players who have declined taking penalties & others who have accepted & later lived to regret it.

You should never criticise the player who accepts the responsibility when others won't. That's why we shouldn't blame Tah for missing the decisive spot-kick.

Criticism should be directed at those who refused to take it, despite their experience.
