Premier League clubs are losing out to La Liga counterparts in the chase for top overseas players because of Spain's more generous tax system, a leading agent has warned.

Only City can give them OTT wages which would work a way round the tax system.

Its just a shame that we don't have a Spanish contingent at the club....

Well they won't be signing Silva then, surely.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Valencia have now announced that striker David Villa is not for sale at any price, according to the player’s agent.

The 27-year-old Spain international had been expected to move to Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer, while Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked.

However, his agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, has now issued a statement saying Valencia are no longer willing to allow him to leave.

“They have changed their mind,” he said.

“Now they say they don’t want to sell him and that he no longer has any price tag

              or not it seems........
