In an interview with Bild magazine in Germany, Zidan admitted that he has high aspirations and has ambitions to play in either "F.C. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool or Manchester United". He stated that he wants to play in FC Barcelona within the next 3 years to play alongside Brazilian sensation Ronaldinho or Liverpool to play with Steven Gerrard.

that was 2/3 years ago mind.

he also once scored a goal in 14 seconds against the club who had loaned him out....talking about biting the hand that feeds you!!

If that's going to be the way it is in all stadiums next year, it really is going to ruin the enjoyment of games.

Maybe I'm just focussing on it too much, but it just gets into your brain, never stops for a minute, makes you want to mute the tv, which isn't the way I want my world cup viewing to go!

                  Howard Webb ****ing up again!

He truly is a awful ref! Sky reporting that webb changed his mind on the advice of his lineman who saw the reply of the handball which is not allowed under FIFA law!

Webb is so **** that he should not of put himself in that position.

Spain's golden boy Torres emerges as local hero

Fernando Torres... the fans' favourite in South Africa.

Spain's Fernando Torres was the fans' favourite on Sunday with his name scrawled on banners and printed on replica shirts even before his team played New Zealand in the Confederations Cup.

The blond-haired striker then scored a 17-minute hat-trick in Spain's 5-0 rout of the Kiwis in Group A and said he loved the fact that the locals had adopted him and Spain as their favourites.

"I would like to thank all the Africans here," Torres told a news conference.

"It's great. It almost feels like home and it's good to be in a team which is winning fans all over the world.

"It is good to have them feel happy now - and also we want to make them happy at the World Cup next year."

Named man of the match for his stunning performance, Torres said he had never scored a faster hat-trick in his professional career.

"To achieve that for the national team is even better," he said.

"But I owe it to my colleagues because they worked so hard. We felt very at ease in the match, the altitude had no impact, it was no problem playing at 1,500 metres."

It was not so good, however, for New Zealand coach Ricki Herbert whose team were destroyed by Spain's opening burst of four goals in 24 minutes.

"We were a bit tentative for the first 25 minutes against the best team in the world and we got punished for a lot of things," Herbert said.

"Spain must be the favourites to win the tournament I would think, they have Champions League holders in there and they are the European champions."
"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
                        -- William Blake

Time for the club to use this to our advantage and start marketing us out there.

New Zealand were knocked out yesterday by Sri Lanka.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
