    Problems at Boro

Tuncay, Mido and Alves stun Southgate by training no show for Middlesbrough

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo....html?ITO=1490

Gareth Southgate's increasingly troubled Middlesbrough reign reached crisis point today when three senior players failed to turn up for the start of pre-season training.

Temperamental Egypt striker Mido, Brazil flop Afonso Alves and Turkey forward Tuncay were all missing as relegated Boro began preparations for their return to the Coca-Cola Championship.

Chairman Steve Gibson decided to ignore growing calls for Southgate's head at the end of last season, after relegation from the Barclays Premier League, but is bound to be dismayed by a development that places a question mark against the Boro manager's authority.

    Tuncay anyone??

in fact any of these as a squad player..

Who the **** do these ****ers think they are? They contributed to Boro being relegated, the least they could do was show up to first day of training.

Heck if I was a professional footballer I'd be well keen to get back playing again, even if it's just a kickabout on the training field.

Hold on, is Mido at Boro permanently now or is he still on loan from Wigan?

A complete lack of respect if true and probably hanging for a move, given the current climate.

******s all of them! They played as big a part as anyone at the club, and should be happy to help them get back up.

They have a contract, so they need to fulfill it, end of.

With that attitude I wouldn't take Tuncay or any of the others for that matter...

I'm sure they might crawl back with some feeble excuse.

They're just thick - it's not a glowing endorsement of their attitude when they're trying to leave the club.

This is the daily mail chaps. There's a good chance they just had a look who was at the training ground and made up a no-show story out of it. Considering they're all going to be leaving Boro there's a good chance they could all have been involved in transfers discussions somewhere else.

Boro have allowed them to come back later due to international duties. Adam Johnson also hasn't returned - he's not mentioned in the article(s).

Alves was voted the worst Brazilian since David Blunkett tried to shave his wife's *****

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Alves and Mido did not get permission.
                      They are officially AWOL.
