well he's 28.. so you're probably going to get another few years out of him, but i doubt Chelsea are willing to up his wages to the extent that Citeh will.
Hes won more or less everything in england.. and just needs a European cup, so i think he sees it as hes done more or less everything he can at chelsea, so its time to make some money, and get out? -

I don't understand why he'd even consider it, he doesn't need the money and Chelsea supporters idolise him. Well they did. If he was leaving for a bigger club then it would be understandable, but Chelsea and Manchester City are very similar. I can't comprehend why someone who is stinking rich needs to be a bit more stinking rich?Comment

A while back there were rumours going around suggesting he had a clause in his contract saying he gets parity with the highest paid players at the club. Now I don't know if that was true or not, but if it was it would suggest he's motivated by money which could answer the question...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment
