Or Porn, second mortgages and moats Cancer research would be a much better spend. I donate a lot to cancer reseach UK through recycling. One of my neighbours collects all the local rags and mags and fills her garage with em, we'll then get a van to collect and the money goes straight to cancer research

          ****ing awful news this is.

It seems to be getting eveyone now Cancer does. What a horrible illness, my GF's friend from Uni has recently found out she has ovarian cancer, she's only 27. She's recently had an op on it but she'll never have kids. And to make things worse she's been told last week that its a type of cancer that can never react to any treatment.

          Well sad that is.

Good luck through your battle big John. YNWA.

              Hartson critical after surgery

Former Wales, Arsenal and Celtic striker John Hartson who is fighting testicular cancer is in a critical condition in hospital.

Doctors have confirmed that the cancer which had already spread to his brain, has now been diagnosed in his lungs.

The 34-year-old, capped by Wales 51 times, was diagnosed at the weekend.

He was transferred to Morriston Hospital in Swansea on Tuesday and underwent emergency surgery and is now receiving round-the-clock care.

I am guessing since it's spread to three places it's terminal?? I hope he recovers, it is very very sad news.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel really really bad for Hartson. Normally these things are sad but water off a duck’s back. There’s something about Hartson’s demise that is particularly shocking and serves as a reality check. A man mountain, young at just 34 and fit and healthy. We’re all so vulnerable. To be struck down like this so suddenly and randomly is terribly unfair. I never check my bollocks for lumps but I really should do it every day. This is an appalling jolt.

He's got three young kids too.

I was thinking about him earlier and similarly it struck me how vulnerable we all are, he's only two years older than me and presumably a lot fitter. After being at my cousins wife's funeral t'other week (she too had cancer and died aged 36 leaving behind 2 young kids) it makes you appreciate your good health. As a dad of two myself I cant bare to think about me or my partner dying young.

Also as you reach your thirties you become way more aware of your own mortality, at 17/18 you think you're invincible.

Good luck to him, sounds like he'll need it.
