To be fair to Owen it was a really good finish today.

But it didn't come at a vital time. Owen came on for Rooney (to rest him) when ManU were 0-3 up.

I personally hope Owen does well, not well enough for Utd to be any better than 4th but well enough for people to get off his back and for him to break Charltons England record.

There was a time when, even though Owen was never a favourite, that I wanted him to become england's top goalscorer still. If he beats charlton's record now it will be as a man utd player so to hell with him.
