You have to ask questions about our scouting system when we sign players of this calibre. If we had to pay a fee would Rafa have given him a second look? If the honest answer is yes, then I won't criticise our scouts, but I don't think it is.

I'm sure Degen's not that bad. He hasn't really been spared by injuries so we must wait before making a definite assumption on him. As I said previously, his attacking game is not bad. Johnson wasn't particularly good also last night, he was very dodgy in his defending and didn't bring much in an attacking sense.

Let's wait and see with Degen, he needs more games.
