ESPN barely has a footprint in these areas, so it makes sense to have one business division flying around and expanding the business in these areas. If the footprint was larger, they could have ESPN in every nation. No one here thinks of these areas as one geographic region.

Companies based in the UK do that. The (wank) company that I work for does it

I currently work for Hewlett Packard, and formerly EDS. 2 massive American companies with a huge presence in the UK, Europe and elsewhere, and yet they have this EMEA region thing going on.

Just seems to odd to me. Why bracket the UK and Germany with say, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia?

the majority of people i know who have sky and subscribed to setanta can't be arsed to sort out espn, with many not knowing how to subscribe - i have to say, i have sene little to no info about espn and if it wasn't for being a regular on forums like this i'd be completley in the dark.

it'd be a good pr if did a big offer, even like they gave the first live game free to all sky viewers to try and get them interested.
