    Real Madrid vs Toronto

Just watched Xabi's debut for Real Madrid in a 5-1 friendly win against Toronto FC. He played really well... just painful to watch. Toronto are very tired and were incredibly poor tonight, but Real looked very good against a clearly overmatched opponent. Raul x2, Ronaldo, Benzema and Robben scored. Also, former possible target Negredo came on and also looked strong (set up Benzema's goal), but the revelation for Real this year will be Benzema. He looks very strong and crafty. Xabi was great and played a little more forward when he came on as a sub in the 70ish minute before sliding back closer to Diarra as the game wore on. Strangely, the ****e USA announcers kept calling Diarra "Las" all night. Did he change to a one word nickname? Las? ****ing annoying.

Anyway, was sad to see Alonso, Arbeloa and even Dudek in other colors. Just wanted to share that.

there's was another diarra(mahmadou) at real when lassana diarra joined them, so to avoid confusion they just printed Lass on his shirt as i belive that's his nickname..

xabi played well you say? well i guess that's not our problem or matter of concern anymore, i just hope aquilani gets back from injury as soon as possible.

Yes, I know. But they kept saying Lass all the time... it was just annoying...

        "Alonso... back to Lass..."

The points being 1. They didn't print the names on the jerseys 2. His name is Lassana Diarra 3. its an American announcer who has no idea who he is. Just drove me nuts. Maybe Im making too much of it.

he had Lass printed on his shirt last season, so the presenter must have seen it there.

Not sure if it's true, but I read somewhere that atletico turned down £30+mil for an old diego forlan.
                Real madrid wanted him apparently
